Beautiful Girl...no wonder why Scott calls Hailey "my princess"

We had a busy week! 

Brooke came up for a few days and we had so much fun together going to the movies, shopping, running together and then pigging out... it was awesome! I wish we lived closer to eachother, 1 1/2 hours isn't close enough.

Scott has been saying for a few weeks now that he wants to take the training wheels off his bike, but only if he does it in the grass where it will cushion the falls.

Brooke got this video of him. He was doing his nervous laugh the entire time and it was so funny! There were a few really good stretches where he was alone. I bet by next month he'll be cruisin :)

 Then Friday was the father-son campout and Scott came up to my room at 7 am dressed and ready to go, even with his backpack loaded with pjs, etc. He was pretty disappointed when I told him he had to wait until Dad got home from work!

Plus, look who decided to show up! Grandpa!

Actually this was my Dad's very first father-son campout since he only had girls. While they were hiking Scott said it was a "grandpa, father, son campout"

Despite the rain, they had a really good time.

While the boys were camping, Grandma, Hailey, Ari and I had a Girls Night. We went to Rumbi Grill for dinner and then came home to "Horton Hears a Who" with popcorn and treats.

The girls first thing this morning...cuties!

Then we spent the day goofing around, had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and off Grandma and Grandpa went.

I can only go so long before I itch to do sewing projects, so I decided to use a bunch of scrap fabrics I had around to make Scott and Hailey aprons. They are always helping me out in the kitchen. Of course Scott asked if I could make matching hot pads to go with them, so I did. I love the ruffles on the bottom of Haileys-so cute!

I saw this idea in a magazine and loved it! I bought this really cute vintage towel hanger to go in our bathroom, but it doesn't hold the towels up very good. I loved the idea so much I did it to all the towels in our house and color coded the bathrooms. (Hailey has pink, Scott has camouflage...) Love it!

Just take some ribbon, fold the ends under and sew them to the middle of the towels.

Date Night

I set up my tripod to get this picture... before I knew what I was getting into!

So Kevin has been wanting to take me mountain biking forever now, and since Brooke was here I took him up on the offer and we went up to Green Canyon.

In the middle of it I told him it was equivalent to him sewing a dress, but seriously- it was REALLY hard! I run about 3 miles a day, and this was serious business! I asked him if he was trying to collect life insurance on me. Haha. I stuck with it for quite a while, and then we stopped and talked for about an hour. It was so nice to have quiet conversation up in the mountains. I loved it. Then we headed down the hill and my cheeks were hurting last night because I was laughing so hard. I think I went faster than I thought I would on a single track trail, but it was such a rush! Now that I know how much fun the downhill is, maybe next time I won't be such a baby. :) Thanks for the fun date Kev!

So my sister Brooke came up today and was holding Ari. I was in the other room and Brooke kept saying, "Does she always laugh?" I said yes, but then when I heard her I came running in to get it on film because it wasn't the tiny giggle/cough she did before. This was a true laugh. You'll want to watch it more than once, trust me! :)

We had a pretty eventful week! Hailey finally mastered her trike

Scott and Hailey got their first pet! Well of course they each have to get one, and since Scott picked a Betta fish that has to be by itself, we ended up with 2 homes to house the fish. Scott named his betta "Scaredy Cat" (because it doesn't move much) and Hailey named her 3 rasboras "Fishy Fish". It's a good thing we didn't get a dog, because I'm already thinking the fish are too much drama.

Setting up Hailey's miniature tank. It has a top with lights too (which I found Scott staring at @ 2 in the morning the first night!) She was so excited...they are VERY well fed fish! :)

Other news...Arianna got to finally join the breakfast group and no longer lays in the lonely living room by herself in the mornings. No, she's definitely not eating yet, (I'm in no hurry) but with the help of some blankets she can sit up by herself. She's pretty happy about it too!

She even got to join in on baking. We made these yummy pretzels Oh and in case you are wondering, Scott came into my room at 6 am with goggles on his face saying, "Mom, this is what I'm going to wear today!" Alrighty then...

And last but not least, here's a cute little face from Ari- so cute!

So all in all it was a great week!

Arianna has been much more attentive and interactive. She's talking her own little language and it's so adorable! Sorry the video is so grainy, it was taken with my cellphone

Hailey is so stubborn, but in return that makes her very determined. All week she has been working her little heart out trying to figure out the trike we got her last summer. We went around the block, Scott was ages ahead of her on his bike, and she NEVER gave up! Finally she got it!

We went to the park on Saturday and this is how much Arianna loved laying in the grass outside!

Scott and Hailey drove over on Scott's Gator. He loves that thing so much!

All Hailey wanted to do (besides chase around a stray puppy) was pick dandelions

Also this week Scott's little pea plant from preschool got so big that he had to transplant it to the garden. I think it's funny he put his gloves on, yet he's standing in the garden barefoot!

This picture makes Scott look so big! (and I think he is going through yet another growth spurt). Today he had a sub in CTR class in primary and she thought he was so funny and so smart. She said she asked everybody how old they were and when their birthdays are. He said, "I'm 4. I don't know when my birthday is and I'm ticked off about it" haha. I told her he does know and it's in December. She said, "Well I would be ticked off too- mine's a December birthday too". She also said he was telling her all about building fires and he told her we always build fires on special occasions. She said, "What's a special occasion?" and he said, "You know!" :)

Last but not least, Hailey taking a bath with her baby sister. She's in heaven right here! (I don't know about Ari, but Hailey is!)

Arianna

How can I get anything done around here when all I want to do is take pictures of this cute face!?

Arianna is playing with her toys now. Its so funny when I hang them from her carseat she hangs onto them like a handle the entire drive (I watch her from the little mirror). She's already putting everything in her mouth too!

Scott and Hailey never drooled this bad this early! Could she be teething already!? I sure hope not!

Fun and Mother's Day

So Ari is still a bit small for the jumper, but she loves to be upright, so even if she's not bouncing she still loves it.

Wow does time fly!

She's such a smiley little thing! I can't get enough of her!

 Ari was up all night Friday, so after only 3 hours of sleep I ran a 5K on Saturday. Last year I got into running, ran a 5K and then got pregnant, so that was the end of that. It's been exactly a year later and I was hoping to beat my time, but I missed it by 2 minutes. I'm just glad I finished it considering the lack of sleep! The first half of the race was completely up hill, and my muscles are feeling it big time! I love it though. There were 600 runners! So much fun! Scott even high fived me right by the finish line-the perfect ending.

I had a great Mother's Day...eating a yummy breakfast and hanging out with the kids. Kevin bought me my favorite chocolate- Symphony Bar and wrote on it "This is the sweetest card I could find" Ahh...he knows me all to well! :)

I love being a Mom of three! A girl was asking me at church how three is and I told her for some reason its much easier than two. It just fits! :)

I told Kevin a few months back no presents for Mother's Day. I did howerver give him an idea to build me some custom cabinets in my laundry room for all my sewing stuff etc. He still needs to paint them, but here they are. I should have taken a pic of the inside, I think there's about 9 shelves, it's awesome! (He is so handy! I love it!)
