Hailey finally got her chance to shine up on stage in church yesterday as the primary sang for our Easter Sunday. I have never loved a primary song more than the one they sang yesterday in sacrament and since I'm in the primary I've been listening as they've learned it. The lyrics are beautiful. They only worked on it for about 2 months and they did so good! I found a link on utube with some pictures someone put together. Please go to the link! :)

Kevin worked a lot this weekend so we had to push the festivities to Saturday morning so he could watch the kids. Best idea ever just because they were calm and good for me at church since they got all their sugar bugs out Saturday

Swimming lessons for the girls

Hailey is so independent, she won't even walk me over to the pool her class meets at. She's like, "I can walk to my class myself mom". I can't even follow her, she has to do it all herself like a big girl. I'm glad too because I had to beg them to put her in the 4 year old class even though she's still 3. Good job Hailey Babe!

Ari feels a bit differently about swim lessons, but we're working on it

She had quite the death grip around my neck for the first 30 minutes, but by the 2nd class she was putting her face in the water

Obviously growing up in Las Vegas I had no idea it could ran so hard for so long. It thunders and lightnings and rains ALL through the day. This storm started Thursday night and is still going strong today!

On Saturday we had our community Easter Egg Hunt in brisk 44 degree weather. It felt even colder than that with the wind, but it was worth it for the kids. We are use to getting like 1-2 eggs each in our Utah hunts, but here they had over 8,000 eggs all over the park for the kids- so much fun!

Kevin told Hailey, "Okay you know the object of the game? Go and run and get as many eggs as you can as fast as you can" She's like, "Okay Daddy!" and within 2 minutes of the fire siren she had a basket full. Hailey is our little athlete and sooo fast! It was so fun to watch her fill up her basket then go get more for her sister.

 I made them stay to meet the Easter Bunny because everyone else left from the cold and the poor bunny traveled such a long way to see all the kids. Ari wanted nothing to do with him- no news there.

I still don't get how this girl won't eat a single thing (right now she's even boycotted her usual pbj and won't even eat fruit! Err) but she doesn't even think twice when it's candy or a treat- how does she know? She discovered smarties

That sugar sure kicks in fast :)

Tonight we set up a egg coloring station and a cookie decorating station and the kids had a blast!

I couldn't even get a picture of Ari before she had already clobbered her cookie and shoved it into her mouth. Does it surprise anyone that she wouldn't eat it anymore after I put seriously one tiny dab of frosting on it?

I was laughing so hard at the difference between Scott and Hailey and it shows perfectly with their cookies. Must be why the get along so great- opposites attract :)

We have Scott very precisely frosting his bunny in stripes and then carefully putting on just the perfect amount of sprinkles in the colors to match the frosting

and then this free spirit LOL

She decorated the same cookie for 15 minutes just layering frosting, sprinkles, frosting, sprinkles. You may not see it because it's hiding under all the frosting but she emptied out an entire container of sprinkles
