Bear Lake

(July 28th)

I met a high school friend of mine, Brooke at Bear Lake in July. It was actually my first time in the water, but we always drive through when we go to Colorado.

She had a few other friends come too, so we had quite the crowd of kids! Just played all day long on the beach and had a blast!

Scott had a great time paddle boarding with Brooke's daughter Audrey. The water is like chest deep out a mile, so the kids just roam around and do their thing wearing their life jackets. They were loving it.

Long fun day at the beach. Thanks for having us Brooke! ;)

(July 24th)

The primary float me and two other gals worked on for the Pioneer Day celebration. 

I made the arch out of beach balls and Kevin can attest that it was A LOT easier said than done!

The kids had a blast though! I bought 20 squirt guns and they laughed and had a great time squirting the crowd

We spent all but one day on Crystal Cove Beach and a few of the days we took the shuttle down to just explore in the tide pools (Grandma's favorite thing to do!)

 Brooke and Chris came with Marlee and baby Laya who is only a month old! So adorable!!! (with so much hair! lol)

 The kids never get tired of digging in the sand. They love it!

We ate fish almost every day. I miss it already!

Because Kevin wasn't with us in Vegas, and also because he is 200% Daddy's boy...Jay spent most of the time with Daddy exploring and digging :)

One of the days we went to Newport to find shells and go to Crab Cooker and the candy store on Balboa Island. Another day we went to play on the beach and there was this fun little pool since the tide was so low. The kids had a blast swimming in it!

Most of the pictures Kevin took of me were of me getting beat up by waves, so I'll post this one lol

even little Ari! At one point I was riding doubles with her and a HUGE wave came and flipped me right off. I jumped up to see where she ended up and there she was hanging on for dear life. So cute!

It was a fun and busy week on the beach! Grandpa wasn't able to go again this year because it was the final week on a very stressful house. We came back to Grandma's Friday to swim and spend the night, and Grandpa took all the Grandkids to see Planes 2! So fun!

We are back now with peas, summer squash, romaine, peppers, broccoli and green beans galore to attend to! We spent the entire day yesterday in the garden.
