Hailey had parent teacher conference last week and the teacher told me about a cute picture Hailey drew for a boy named Jayden at school. The teacher said her Mom put it on face book....so I was curious for sure! We got home and I said to her, "Soo....what exactly did you draw him?" She said, "Oh just a great big heart with me and Jayden inside on the grass with a big "L-O-V-E" spelled out."
I can only imagine what the other Mom was thinking. lol. Hailey is just a sweetheart. She said, "Yeah because he is my best friend. I love him because he is my best friend." 
She is always leaving us notes all around the house. I find little heart notes in the fridge, my makeup drawer, under my pillow, everywhere!

The best teething ring out there right here! My mom and I figured this out I think back when I had Scott, and I have used it on every one of the kids. Celery. It's cold, long enough for them to hold and they can chew and chew on it without it falling apart (until they get some teeth, then they can get chunks)

Arianna is finished with her food therapy and doing great with the tools we were given. She even eats rice, little pieces of chicken and lots and lots of roast and steak. But ever since spending the night at Aunt Brooke's house, her favorite food is spaghetti. Ari has never shoveled food in her mouth before, so it was a really proud moment the other night at the dinner table with her gobbling up spaghetti lol

I mentioned before about the "clean up" dice. Well Ari cheats every night and flips it to the dishes one every time because it's her favorite. Every night she begs and begs to do the dishes.

We've got some big girls around here! Hailey moved up to Scott's bike that he has outgrown, and Ari got to have Hailey's bike! 

This is Ari's first time riding a bike. She just loved her trike too much to try, but she is in heaven now. Every day since Saturday she has asked to go outside to ride her bike! :)

 

 We have a lot of dress up stuff around here...which means sometimes I wake up to some pretty interesting creatures whose only objective is to scare the pants off mom. And Hailey is pretty good at it too.

 Ari always wants to paint her nails. She just loves it. She doesn't just want them painted though, she wants stars and sprinkles and anything else to make them "ha! Like Barbie Popstar!!" looking.

Jay is really getting into his bathtime. He's always loved it but now he splashes around and then looks at me wondering why I'm splashing his face. I love it.

Jay is sitting up so good! It's adorable and he loves his new skill. (I still prop pillows or the boppy behind him in case he gets over zealous and flies back :)

Also we started him on acid reflux meds this week, and he is very happy! He's always been super happy during the day, but as soon as you would lay him down he would cry and at night he was getting up every hour with a pain scream. (Yes the most I have slept in 5 1/2 months is 4 hours) I've always just thought it was gas and didn't even think of acid reflux because he NEVER spits up...but then I was reading about silent reflux and the light bulb went off. He had every symptom and he has always had very wet burps, but instead of spitting up he just swallows it and it irritates his stomach. He was getting to the point where he would cry every time I nursed him and stopped napping too. We did try everything: keeping him upright for an hour after feeds, elevated crib, to homeopathic meds, probiotics, me eliminating citrus, dairy, caffeine, (including chocolate) from my diet, and everything else but nothing was working. Finally I listened to that nagging mom feeling to take him to the doctor. So I'm very happy he's back to himself during the day, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will solve his belly issues. We still need to work on the nights, but I will get up 2-3 times over 10 times any day!

Jay loves books more than anything. If he is super fussy, just open up a book and he's a smiles. How convenient that Scott has found a huge love for reading lately :)

 Kevin has been working a lot of hours lately. Ari is so cute because I would wake up all last week around 6:45 to her saying, "Dad! Where are you? MR. DAD? Mr. Dad, where are you???" But it was in a sweet singing voice. He was leaving really early and she was missing her morning hugs. So then one night he got home late but she wanted to wait for him to read to her, but she didn't quite make it. It was really sad she passed out holding her book with her little legs propped up on her pillow. Sweetest girl.

 Before Christmas Hailey took up a love of hand-sewing, so I bought her a few little starter kits and told her once she got the hang of it I would help her with the big kit which was this cute little doll. She loved it. I think she named the doll "Sunshine Heart" and she even had a little teady that goes in her pocket Hailey named "Pinkey". Pretty cute :)

This is how my laundry room looks at least half the days of the week. I cannot keep up with the craziness, but at least I have somewhere to stash it! And don't think for one second that Scott and Hailey were helping me fold....they told me they would and I was shocked, but they just threw what was theirs in their baskets and got bored after 2 minutes and ran off to play. There went the small glimpse of hope. One thing that has kept me half way sane is that each of them have their own baskets (love Ikea!) so I fold the clothes for them and slide their baskets into the shelves and they come up and get their basket, put all their clothes away in their rooms and return the basket in the laundry room for the next time. They have this down like a military drill and it does help out quite a bit. :)

It is still freezing cold here, but the sun was out on Saturday and I just had to take advantage! We packed a lunch and headed to the kids favorite park. Kevin had to work in the morning, but he met us over there for lunch and some fun. 

I had a lot of fun playing hide and seek with Scott and Hailey. So I found Scott and then he said, "Now you have to tag me!" I'm thinking, what, I thought we were playing hide and seek not tag. So then I tagged him and he tagged me back so then it turned into a vicious game of tag....then all of a sudden he chucks a snowball at my back and says, "You're it!" so then it turned into a snowball tag game. Kids....always changing the rules aren't they! lol

I expected the snow to be removed off the playground and it wasn't, so that made it kind of interesting. Ari was the only one (no surprise) who just couldn't stand to have her feet wet so we just took off her shoes and Dad carried her around and pushed her on swings :)

 This is such a traditional Hailey face. Cracks me up!

Hailey wanted to bring this purse and she kept it on the whole time even on the rock climbing wall. Such a funny girl. It had some paper and a pencil "just in case I would like to sit and draw" she said. This girl just loves to draw! She leaves us notes all over the house.

 Yeah! I finally am a proud owner of a bike trailer! :) I've always wanted one, but they take up so much room in the garage...well we got one and I'm so excited because that means as soon as spring hits I can let the kids ride their bikes to school and I can pull Ari and Jay in this.

On February 26th he sat up all by himself!

so cute! He loves to be sitting up, so he will be much happier now that he can do it himself. I think he's always had acid reflux because he screams when he lays down and always has to be propped up to sleep. Don't think that means he sleeps all night though...no no this little cuteness still gets up 6-10 times a night- no exaggeration! But he's so happy during the day I can't complain 

I posted earlier how much he loves this door bouncer (all my kids did). He loves to play in it every day and now that I showed him this new fun bouncing skill, he wants to bounce everywhere. You can't even hold him in your lap he tries to bounce right out.

The other day I was making dinner and I could see the bouncer bouncing but it was quiet and I found Jay like this, fast asleep but still with a little bounce every now and then. So funny!

That's about it! He is loving eating solid foods and about leaps out of his chair to get a bite. He has tried banana and avocado, sweet potato, yam, oatmeal and rice cereal. He is starting to make the spitting noises with his mouth which is pretty cute. Other than that we are just on the hunt for a "sleep through the night" fix, but I'm not too optimistic about it just because all our kids are horrible sleepers as babies!
