I haven't taken any pictures in a week, which is really rare for me. Luckily- Kevin got his pictures back from his work trip to Garden City Kansas so I have something to post about! Kevin and two other guys from work were there for a week taking classes all day and studying all night. The last day they took a test and he aced it, so they went site seeing and had some fun.

They have these sirens all over each city for tornado warnings. This is the exact reason why I will never move out East! Scary!

They went to Dodge City which is an old town where Wyatt Earp and Tombstone type movies were filmed.This is a headstone that says, "A buffalo hunter named McGill who amused himself by shooting into every house he passed. He won't pass this way again. Died March 1873"

Vegas Pictures Continued...

Hailey loves giving her cousin Mia hugs, but sometimes she squeezes a little too tight so Mia is a little unsure of them

My sister Bre came for a few days to spend time with the kids. She bought Mia and Hailey these little princess crowns. Thanks Aunt Bre!

She also brought her two dogs with her and Scott had so much fun. I'm not really a dog lover, but I fell in love with little Mercedes (in the picture) so much that we may just need to get one!

I grew up in Las Vegas and never knew there was a zoo- how funny is that? We usually go up to Bonnie Springs petting zoo, but this time we went to the local one

There were some cute animals, but I'm not going to lie-it was mostly pigeons! Ugh! (Mia even got pooped on by one flying over her)

Feeding this goat was big time for Hailey. She loves Grandma's cats, but anything that can charge her (goats, pigeons, birds, dogs, etc) she screams and gets major anxiety. I don't blame her though

Swimming was one of the main reasons why we went to Las Vegas. The kids took swimming lessons this year and I was just so excited to get to swim with them every day.

Scott has come such a LONG way from the years before. I mean 6 months ago this kid would cry and scream if any water got in his face in the bathtub! Now he is dipping his head in the water, diving for rings, and jumping off the ledges. I'm so proud of him!

Hailey found her new favorite - this inner tube (Actually I think she only loves it because she knows its Scotts...every time he's gone she wants it)

Grandpa has been so great to take Scott with him to work. Scott is just content and happy as can be to run around the jobsites with Gramps. Today they even packed a lunch. Grandpa and Scott goofing around.

One day Scott was asking me if Grandpa would have any candy and I said, "Scott every time you go with Grandpa you don't have to get candy okay?" He walked away... then his Uncle Rick was trying to talk to him and he said, "I am so mad at my mom! I'm not even talking. I won't talk until I get to Grandpas!" My dad said he told him all about it when he got there. Too funny.

The first week we took the girls to a Gymboree class. They had so much fun running around on all of the mats.

They tied bells to the nets so that when they make a basket they here bells ringing. What a cute idea!

Kevin went out east for a work trip on Sunday, so I packed up the kids Monday morning and headed to Sunny Las Vegas for a week of swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We always come in June because Candice is done teaching, and it's not too hot yet Grandpa with the girlies- Look at all those big blue eyes!

So far I haven't been able to take very many pictures of Scott because once Grandpa is home I don't even see him until it's bedtime. He loves to follow him around and hangout. On Tuesday night I let Scott stay up until 9 pm (a whole hour past bedtime-what a nice mom) to swim with Grandpa

Scott's swimming skills and attitude have improved so much! Last June he wouldn't even stick his feet in the pool, and this year he is out in the deep end with us with his inner tube! Yeah Scott!

Hailey's bangs are always in her eyes, so Grandma gave her a haircut (her first one since mommy buzzed it when she was 4 months old-haha)

My sister Bre came from California last night and brought her two dogs. Scott has been having a blast playing catch and chasing them around. After a long morning they are all ready for a rest

It's hard not to come to Vegas, where I spent 17 years of my life, and not want to see and spend time with all my friends, but I've always been a home-body because I love my family. Especially when all the kids where I live get to see their grandparents every week, I really feel like Scott and Hailey (and me too) need to spend every minute with Grandma and Grandpa while we are here so- just a random little note I guess to let my friends know that even if I don't see them when I'm here, I still think of them all the time

There is a volleyball sand pit at one of the parks, so I packed up lunch and all the sand toys and we had our little pretend play and picnic and the beach

Scott's favorite one was a jungle safari obstacle course. Kevin took both Hailey and Scott with him and I waited with the camera. Well Scott was standing up at the top of the slide waiting for Kevin and Hailey, when this big guy came up to the slide next to him, jumped up 3 feet to slide down, and Scott's feet flew out from under him and he bounced right off. It was too funny!

This one was fun for the kids, but Kevin and I were wiped out after helping Scott up this wall ten times!Here's a video of Hailey going down the bouncy slide- this girl has no fear!
