I would say the thing Scott looks forward to the most every year is his week long LegoRobotics camp. Well this year Hailey was old enough to join him! Which I thought would be great because I think you learn 100 xs more when you are trying to teach someone else. So win win! They got to be partners and everything.
Not surprisingly, Scott was grinning ear to ear and talked the entire way home about all the programming and exciting stuff. Hailey thought it was fun to try, but probably won't do it again :)
The same week of robotics was the Cache Valley cup for soccer, so Hailey had to miss the day of the competition when the parents get to come....hence the no picture of her in robotics.
Scott did awesome in the competition. His robot completed 4 of the 6 tasks which nobody was able to beat in his class, so that's pretty good.

I was however able to sneak a few shy pictures of her in her new uniform for her new team. On the last week of school she informed me that she would really like to try out for the competitive soccer team Aggies FC. (We have always just done rec). What do you say to that? They had a few days of tryouts and added 2 girls to the team- one of which was Hailey! Whoop whoop!!
So cute this girl! And a great little soccer player! She has been practicing twice a week all summer.

Another weekend at the same place as the robotics, Hailey and Scott got to do an egg drop. They got to scrummage through piles of scraps to make their own contraptions. Here's Hailey holding up hers which of course has a face with a mustache on it :)

We had a fun family day at Hyrum Reservoir one Saturday which is always fun!
By the way Hailey has now advanced from not being in pictures at all, to being in the pictures but keeping her eyes shut (lol whatever! I'll take what I can get!)
The water was high enough this summer for them to add a dock. Which means lots of fun jumping off!

Always fun when they gang up on mom. I told them, "See, this is why mom's don't play because then the kids gang up on them!!" I was seriously drenched...didn't hold back one bit!

I realized we have too much craft and arts stuff collected over the years, so we have pulled out all of it and been doing a TON of arts and crafts during the hot part of the day
And sometimes outside in the shade with friends :)

I finally got around to making the silhouettes I have been meaning to do. I actually started in Missouri about 6 years ago. So obviously when I revisited the project to add in Jay I decided to take pictures again of all the kids. I think they turned out pretty awesome! Sorry about the glare since they are in my hallway. But seriously. I heart these. They are right by my room and they make me smile every time I walk by. I love how different each of them are. Hailey's little button nose, Jays closed mouth little grin, Ari's ballerina posture and Scott's cute little chin. So precious.

We even spotted this cute little caterpillar. Reminds me so much of my Grandma Lills in the summer I had to stop and pick it up. We use to collect these in Idaho because we never ever saw fuzzy caterpillars in Vegas!

A few weeks ago we finally got to go camping! We are a little behind since I think we told the kids we were going to go at least 3 times this year ... Kevin and Scott have surpassed that with scouting, but as a family we were super excited to finally go!
Our neighbors had reserved a site at Tony's Grove which is pretty hard to get into. They had an emergency come up and weren't able to use it so they gave it to us.

Best part about camping is the food if you ask me :) Some friends gave us this grill and we were thrilled because we have been wanting one for a while now! We even got a flat cooktop for it and made breakfast burritos in the morning
Ari is up and down with camping. She is the happiest person on the planet saying how much she loves camping and how she wishes we could stay for a week, and then a fly will land on her and she will be crying and screaming about how she wants to go home. Only to switch back 5 minutes later asking when we get to go camping for a week. LOL

Hard to see since it was dark, but Ari had fallen asleep with Felix a few nights in a row. These two crack me up! So funny!
Last week I took the kids on a 3 mile hike. It didn't go as good as I thought it would. LOL but we still had fun. Minus all of the complaining. Jay doesn't look like he's complaining does he?
Pretty sure Hailey was the only one I didn't hear any complaining from. Kids these days are spoiled. They were saying their legs hurt and their feet hurt and as a parent you want to feel bad and not make them do it. But I think that's the problem with kids these days! They are taught to never be uncomfortable! So I was explaining that it's OKAY if their feet hurt or their legs hurt. That means they are making their bodies do hard things and it will help their bodies get stronger. They couldn't say much after that. #momsknowbest :)
