My Mom was painting rocks with Mia the other day and I thought that sounded like a fun idea, so that's what we did yesterday!

 Arianna is so funny! I had a little spot set up for her and I was calling her name and she wasn't coming. Well here she came with paints and a paintbrush. She went to the office herself to get supplies...she must have thought we weren't going to invite her to do it too. She was pretty excited when she saw her little spot set up already for her.

 When last weeks soccer game started Kevin and I were both looking all over the field for Hailey and couldn't find her anywhere. Finally someone said, "She's the goalie!" We couldn't believe they stuck the smallest kid on the team in that big goal box, but she did awesome! She only let 1 of 5 through and she even got to do 3 or 4 goal kicks. Super fun!

 Scott has kind of unofficially taken the position of sweeper on the team. There are too many kids on his team much faster to score goals, so Scott likes to stay in the back and play defense. He's so great at it too!

I think it was Sunday when Scott finally figured out how to pump his legs on the swing! Now he can do it all by himself!

Scott doesn't usually have much to say when I pick him up from school. Usually it's just how many recesses they had that particular day. So I was pretty surprised when he just couldn't wait to tell me what happened at school yesterday. "Kendall and Ada kissed 2 times today!" He continued to tell me that these two kindergartners in his class were kissing at recess and he saw them. He said he didn't see them the second time, but his friend Fisher said that he talked to someone who saw them kissing during second recess. How funny is that? There's already a grapevine in kindergarten about who's kissing on who? Oh my!

I was thinking about just how to approach this so I asked, "So when you saw them kissing what did you think?" And he said, "I thought it was VERY inappropriate!" LOL I thought I was going to pee my pants. He says, "Yeah, they are going to get married, I just know it."

 Fall Soccer started!

I've always had Scott play spring soccer, but when a friend called saying her son's coach needed 2 players and said Hailey could slide by (it's 4-6 year olds, so technically she's not old enough yet) we had to do it! Once in a lifetime that you get to play on your big brother's soccer team! :)

How would it be to just wake up one day and be old enough for preschool and soccer...pretty fun! Hailey was dancing around the house screaming, "I'm a soccer playa!" They got ready like an hour before their game and were testing out their shin-guards by sliding on the carpet.

They played 2 games on the same night back to back and it was only in the 50s...soooo cold!

Since Hailey is 3 she's obviously the smallest player and everyone on the sideline just couldn't stop talking about how cute she was. She was also the fastest player out there which was pretty fun to watch

Hailey has always been competitive by nature, so after the game she was really upset...not crying but mad and when we would tell her she played a good game she would shake her head and say, "I didn't even get any goals!"

You have plenty of time to learn honey- slow down!

 Scott got to play goalie for the last bit and loved it. He was actually really really good at it! He stopped 2 pretty decent goal attempts.

Missed this one Kevin just sent me from his phone...

 Here's Scott and Hailey after their morning date with Dad a few Saturdays ago. They have classes kids can take at Lowes where they build stuff. I think they are suppose to be like 8 or something, but our kids have grown up around hammers and nails. They just had a blast making these lockers with Dad!

Look who's been sleeping in a toddler bed the last 4 nights!

 Arianna started climbing over the top of her crib, so we figured it was time to move to a toddler bed. 19 months probably sounds early, but we changed Scott and Hailey over at 18 months too...my theory is to do it early when they don't think of getting out of their beds every 5 minutes. Every night we say, "Show us your big girl bed" and she climbs right in with her puppy and blankie and then yells for us when she wakes up the next morning...so sweet! :)

She's pretty darn proud

Arianna LOVES barbies. Hailey only has 2 of them, but Ari is always finding them and carrying them around. I was trying to figure out how come she's so interested so early when Hailey wasn't, and I guess it's because she has a big sister. Hailey didn't know what a barbie was until she was about 3 :)

 

Scott can read! Books with small words of course, but we are so excited! Scott says, "No I don't know how to read, I just sound out words" That's called reading Scott! Give yourself some credit! :)

Not much happening around here...just same old same old :)

Just remembered something else...I taught Scott how to play Uno and he loves it and is so good. This use to be the one game I was good at until I taught him...he wins every time and it's hilarious! We played 3 games with Brooke and he beat us all three. Then when she babysit they played 3 games and he beat her all 3.

I don't think that's going to help with his already abundant confidence :)

Guess who I talked into coming to visit us?

Scott didn't have school on Friday or Monday, so Aunt Brooke decided that was the perfect time to come visit. Hailey, Ari and I picked her up from the airport and then she got to surprise Scott after he got out of school.

We came home and put the kids down for naps and made homemade pretzels with cheese sauce and other goodies for our Twilight marathon for that night :)

Then on Friday morning Brooke and I went running on the beautiful river trail and then the whole crew headed off to the zoo...

Only Brooke will know the true story of these tortoises fighting....hilarious!

After the zoo Kevin watched the kids and Brooke and I had a girls afternoon full of shopping....even got to take the old toyota truck - so much fun!

 Then we met up with Kevin and the kids for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It's my Mom and Dad's tradition and since they couldn't come my Dad wanted Brooke to take us in their honor. Scott and Hailey love this place

 After that Kevin took the kids home to get ready for bed and it was back to our girls night out

First stop- I just had to take Brooke to the batting cages and we had a BLAST! It's 3 days later and I still can't feel my arms....Pretty fun that we can still hit 60 mph pitches though (Oh yeah!) After the batting cages we went to a chick flick, got some frozen yogurt, headed home to redecorate the living room with all the new stuff I bought and finish up some more Twilight Saga :)

Saturday morning Brooke and I ran a 4 1/2 mile loop I've been wanting to do but knew I couldn't without her... felt so awesome and even better to eat some yummy french toast after! :) Then we all headed to the town over to do some Antique shopping for fun and then headed to the pool for some swimming and then after lots of begging from the kids (and coaching from Mom) we went to Wendys for lunch. Saturday night Brooke offered to babysit the kids for us. They had a movie night with popcorn while Kevin and I got to go downtown to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, went to a movie and out for dessert. I love this guy right here! Today he gave me a ride on his motorcycle and it just brought back all the memories. I always say I fell in love on the back of a motorcycle and can't believe that was 9 years ago this last summer- crazy!

Sunday we did the norm- church and relaxing at home. Today was the sad day when Brooke had to leave us. We woke up to BEAUTIFUL 68-70 degree weather which was perfect for some riding around in the yard on our toys

 Scott leaned in to drive and of course Ari just had to copy...so adorable!

 Sad Brooke couldn't stay a bit longer because we had tickets to the last baseball game of the season... all you can eat grub too :)

I told Scott, "You are such a handsome little guy" and he said, "I know I am...you tell me all the time" LOL

 Ari took her first topple while we were at the game over 2 concrete steps! She didn't break the skin but ended up with some major road rash on her four head. I tell you people LOVE kids here and we've got someone bringing ice, someone giving her a cookie, someone giving her a souvenir and some sweet old guy even went to get the mascot Louie to come cheer her up! (I just noticed Hailey's hair LOL ...windy day!)

Am I missing anything Brooke? We had the funnest weekend! Thanks for coming and also for watching the kiddos for us Saturday night! We love you!

 Last Monday for family night I took Kevin and the kids to a running trail that I found with a friend...goes along the river- so pretty!

 A lot of nights when Kevin has been working late or has church stuff the kids and I play games together. They love our Curious George hide and seek game but I think this was the first time Ari put a mask on to play

 I already told you she's obsessed with hats and things, so you can only imagine what she thought....wouldn't take it off all night! :)
