We had such a blast for Spring Break! While it was snowing almost every day here in Cache Valley, we were soaking up the sun in California!
We keep it pretty simple when we go- lots of good eating and playing on the beach every day. Lots and lots of beach time!
My mom always goes during the spring and Candice and her family join her. Our breaks are never during the same week, but I talked my mom into booking it during our Spring Break this year. It was so awesome to hang out with Grandma all week and Grandpa came for Easter weekend too. So fun! We ate at all of Grandpa's favorite places while he was there like Crab Cooker and Rusty Pelican. Scott was so funny with the seafood. He was loving all the salmon!

So funny how men can't sit still...Grandpa and Kevin helped Scott make a huge launching ramp for the trucks.
We really had fairly nice weather all week. There was only one chilly day that we spent walking around the Irvine Mall. The kids got to ride the merry-go-round
And Jay had been begging us to ride the Ferris wheel. I'm not sure where he got the idea, but before we even arrived in Cali he was talking about how he wishes HE could ride a Ferris wheel. So we all rode on the giant wheel! So fun!
My sister Bre only lives about 40 minutes from the condo. She got Justin Bieber tickets for her birthday and guess who she asked to go with her!? I was so excited! I've only ever been to punk rock concerts in high school and country. Pop concerts are awesome!
The next morning I drove with her and the kiddos back to the condo to spend the day on Crystal Cove beach.

One of the nights we took the ferry over to Balboa where our favorite candy shop is
Candy shop! I always have them start with 5 small pieces, which turns into 10 and they usually leave with about 15 candies in their own baggies. Their favorite night always!
We had a great time going to dinner before and had quite a few laughs at how young the crowd was and how crazy a few of his fans were (hint- bawling and passing out on the ground to name a few). We were lined up trying to find parking and all these girls are walking along. Bre was wondering where they were walking from and I told her it was because their moms were dropping them off. So funny!

I spent the night with her and got to cuddle with this cutie the next morning. Aleena is almost 8 months already and I hadn't met her yet!! I had no idea what I was missing. Seriously the cutest baby on the planet!

Eating ice cream at our favorite gelato place in Laguna Beach. We always try to squeeze in at least 2 times while we are there because it's the only time (other than when I make it at home) that Scott gets to eat ice cream. And it is a different experience getting to eat ice cream on a night out.
After 5 hours on the beach we cleaned up to go to our favorite eating place on last time- Bear Flag Fish, and then finished off with gelato one more time in Laguna.

Friday morning Kevin and I got up at 5 am to take him to the airport. He flew from Orange County all the way to Pensacola Florida. Grandaddy turned 90 and had a big party. Wish we could all go but with flights being so expensive he had to go solo.
My mom and I checked out of the condo and then drove to Bre's to celebrate Laith's big 6th bday. Laith had an all boy party and they went paintball shooting. Scott had the BEST TIME EVER! They left at 9 and didn't get back to Bre's until around 5.
I had built up a lot of anxiety wondering how it was going for him since he had never been before and also not knowing any of the boys other than Laith. We brought the pizza for lunch and cake. We roll up and Scott spots us and says, "What? We aren't done yet!" and passes us by. So my mom asked Wally how Scott was doing and he said, "Um...he's a sniper!" lol So funny. I guess he had only been hit a few times and was just hiding out creaming everyone. I guess taking a shooting sports class has paid off. He said, "This is a lot funner than little paper targets!" lol

My mom drove with me and the kids to Vegas, we spent the night and hung out with Grandpa and Grandma, Rick, Candice and the kids for one night and then I drove with all the kids home on Sunday. We stopped for about 2 hours at my sister Brooke's to meet her precious little love bug! Remi is almost a month old and we got to meet her and play with Marlee and Laya for a minute. I was too busy loving on Remi to take any pictures!
Such a fun week!!! It was painful being back after being spoiled in the sun for a week with Dad all to ourselves, but we are surviving. Soccer started last week and so we will be busy as ever! Hopefully not to busy to get back to posting more regularly. I've been horrible lately!
