Well Missouri has officially rubbed off on Scott. On our ride home from school today he said some kid scribbled on his art project and then he said,

"Oh well- It aint no matter!"

LOL

This week at Scott's school celebrated their 100th day of school and do you know what I realized? That means I've made 100 school lunches! And that's kinda how January goes....just the same boring routine over and over LOL.

 I wanted to suprise him yesterday with a happy meal for lunch, so I told him I wasn't going to make him a lunch and he immediately started crying and said, "NO! Don't make me eat school lunch!" Haha. I didn't know it was that bad- this lucky kid has never been forced to try it. He cheered up when I told him I was going to come have lunch with him and bring him some Wendys. Hailey was at school and so it was just Ari and me. Cutest thing ever. We ate lunch and then when it was time to line up Scott grabbed Ari's hand and was standing in his class line. She was just looking up at him with the biggest grin ever. I said, "Come on Ari, we need to go now." and she just wailed, "Nooo!!" I had to pry her little hands from her big brother...she wanted to spend the day with him at school I guess :)

 I'm helping out with Activity Days, but I'm still the primary chorister. So last weekend we talked about modesty and then I traced the girls on paper and had them design modest outfits for their girls. I tried it with Hailey first to see if it worked and she had so much fun! She was so cute too like when she added some sleeves because she wasn't modest. :)

Last Sunday I had a little "singing bee" for primary and hardly had any volenteers. I kept trying really hard to get Scott to come up and he wouldn't. Once we were home I found out he does know most of the songs, he's just so shy he won't do it. Poor kid is going to be like me in front of groups...he just turns beet red and starts shaking. Once I found out he knew the whole "I am a Child of God" song I told him I was going to make him get up next week and sing it. He was like, "NOO!" I said, "Okay, I'll settle for a personal performance and I get to video tape it." He agreed. :) He left out the chorus, but pretty darn cute! You can tell he's so nervous too. Love this kid!



Sometimes when I take Scott to school I just throw Ari's hair up so it's out of her face. We were driving home and Hailey was like, "OH! I love this water squirt! I want one!"

 Arianna let me curl her hair on Sunday and she was pretty excited looking in the mirror to see the finished product (Did I mention she has the cutest profile in the whole world-look at that adorable little nose :)

After so many pictures at Christmas time, I've been on a major break from the camera! We even managed to take a zoo trip without it which was great.

Another reason for the lack of posts lately...we are potty training Arianna this week! She officially started on Monday and is doing fantastic!

Hailey has been such a great little helper with the potty training. She's such a mommy and so nurturing, she wants to do it all-especially hand out stickers for success. (On a sidenote-Hailey gets really upset if I put Ari in her pjs because she thinks it's her job. She LOVES putting Ari in her pjs each night-super cute)

Arianna has been ready to potty train for a few months now, but we went out of town for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I've been waiting until we were back to a normal schedule before tackling it. Monday she had 3 accidents, Tuesday 0, Wednesday 1 and today 1 so she's doing great. The cutest part was on Tuesday. While Scott and Hailey were at school, we went shopping for new underwear. She picked out Dora ones and when we got home she took them all out of the package, unrolled them and just as gentle as can be folded one at a time and placed them nicely in her drawer. She was smiling so proudly and kept looking up at me just so excited. It was adorable!

 Tonight was the one night without meetings of some sort, so we were just enjoying eachother and goofing off with Dad

On another note- the kids finally got the snow storm they have been dreaming and praying for. We woke up to about 2 inches of snow and they were so excited. Too bad it had pretty much melted off by the time school was out- bummer.

I have some master manipulaters in my house. Hailey being the best, but it's a close call between her and Scott.

Hailey got her brand new microphone from Christmas taken away because she chose to throw a major temper tantrum at bedtime. After lots of warnings I told her if she continued her microphone would be taken away for 1 week. She continued, so I took it. 3 days later on Monday she runs up to me and says she has a brilliant idea! "Dad can play the guitar and Scott can play his guitar and you can play the piano Mom and Ari can play the drums and I can sing and we will have a show!" I was like, "Oh yeah Hailey that sounds like a great idea" and she looks at me with those big blue eyes and says with one finger pointing, "There's only one problem...I'm going to need that microphone back"

Nice try Hailey.
