Scott got to go with Kevin to Vegas for a few days for a work trip. He had a blast playing with Mia and Laith, going to the lake, spending time with Grandpa and Grandma and just having some great one on one time with his Dad! They had a blast!

Hailey didn't want to miss school for 2 days (surprised that Scott jumped for joy?), or her dance class or her soccer game.

She is such a little athlete! So fun

She scored a goal her second game too! On her first game she kicked the ball and her cleat went flying. So the second game I tied her shoe laces around the bottom of her foot and then up at the top and she wasn't so sure about it, but I told her that's what her cool Aunt Brooke did AND that it was good luck and she was going to score a goal- and she did! It was so awesome!

They have the same uniform for all the kids and then it's reversible for home or away games. That way you don't have to buy a new uniform every year for every team...I think it's a great idea. Plus Hailey gets to look just like big brother Scott, which is a huge plus in her eyes.

Scott has improved a lot just from this past spring. He is just not an aggressive kid and never was one of those "jump off the couch" or "race you to the fence" kind of kids and we love him that way. But he is getting into the game more. Soccer is really the only sport he enjoys, which makes his Mom proud that's for sure! :)

Jay has found a new love of balls lately. Footballs, soccer balls, any kind. He loves them

And this is his favorite pass time lately...watching his Dad work in the backyard (he's building a shed). He just stands there and yells at him "Daaaad daaaad"

 Miss Arianna has been a busy little bee. She is loving preschool and all the classes they have and really really loving dance class. Even more than all of that is her special time with mom. Because Hailey got bumped to afternoon kindergarten, Hailey gets me to herself when Ari is at preschool, and Ari gets me all to herself in the afternoon every day while Hailey is at school. Plus Jay is napping then too, so she just eats up all the attention. I secretly love it too of course! 

 It was a high of 48 the other day and to keep from getting too depressed Ari and I spent the afternoon decorating the porch. We went and got a bale of straw, picked out some pumpkins at a local farmer and even made a scarecrow. We had so much fun together, even vacuuming out the car from all the straw! lol She is a diva for sure, but when she isn't trying to fight for attention over her siblings and you get her alone, she is just a dream. Such a sweetie. :)

Arianna and Hailey started dance classes last week. I've waited a lot longer than most moms I know, especially with Hailey turning 6 in a few months, but Ari has been begging and begging so we finally decided to do it!

Ari is a natural performer. For example when Scott and Hailey leave for school she gets Hailey's stand up microphone and Scott's guitar and puts on some pretty awesome rock concerts for me. :) Oh and I do not tell her to pose like this. That's just what she does naturally when the camera is out.

 

 Double threat...or should I say double attitude? 

Hailey is a little unsure but she wanted to "test it out" this year. She's more excited about playing soccer, that's for sure. Even scored her 1st goal at last night's game!

We finally finished all the fruit canning...at least until next year! Hailey and I canned peaches every day last week. Over 60 quarts of peaches. 

Scott joined in with us after his soccer game on Saturday.

It was Arianna's turn to go to school, finally!

 She has been patiently asking every day if it was time yet.

She gets to go to preschool twice a week and just like Hailey did, the 3rd hour is tumbling, swimming or movement depending on the week. She couldn't stop talking about it when she got home.

She is very insistent on picking out her own clothes these days. Right down to the shoes. We are just lucky she hasn't tried wearing her princess costumes yet like she does when we go run errands. :)

Hailey asked me for some sissors on Saturday while we were all outside and she sat in the living room intently concentrating. She came up with this cute little creature that has ears

 and even a tail....so creative!

That's not it either. She made a small one for her little tiger stuffed animal. Perfect size for Jay too.

Jay is 11 months old

Do you see all this drool? It never stops. He has 4 teeth on the top now and 2 on the bottom

He started cruising along things this month and has let go to stand on his own once, but not for very long.

 Over the weekend Kevin started building the shed for our backyard. We figured since Monday was a holiday we would get it done, but then it started raining cats and dogs all day so....maybe next weekend. 

Kevin is so handy. Impresses me all the time with all the things he knows how to do!

The kids and I weren't much help- we were just trying to stay out of the way. I also took them on  a little mom date to see the new Planes movie so Kevin could work. It was fun.

 We got Scott's loft bed this week and the first night I was busy putting all his things away in his room, so after I put Ari and Jay to bed I told Scott and Hailey they could stay up and read together in Scott's new bed until I finished.
Scott read her the skippy jon jones and they were laughing and giggling and just having one of those special sibling moments.

 Also because they had so many kindergartners they weren't expexting, they hired a new teacher part time for a new pm class and took kids out of the others to make the class sizes smaller. Hailey got switched to the new class and from am to pm. She has been loving it! I take her to school on our bikes and then she gets to ride home from school with Scott and his friends. Highlight of her day I'm sure! 

It is soooo much fun having 2 kids in the same school. Last night during dinner Hailey is like, "Scott did you see me at recess? I was waving to you! Oh did you see me in the hall I saw you!" It's just adorable. And for now anyways, Scott loves being the big brother. :)
