On our way from Moab to Colorado we made another stop up in the Colorado Mountains to go camping with Kevin's dad. Grandpa Ken did a lot of work with all the camping gear, yummy food and also brought his four wheelers and fishing boat. The kids had the best time!

Of course it rained ALL night! Kids were in the tent by 7 pm and it rained until morning. Kevin and I discussed this trend we have of it always raining when we go camping. Yet when we didn't have kids it never rained on us and we went ALL the time! So one of our kids is jinxing us for sure! lol
The kids also got to do some fishing out on Grandpa's boat on the lake

Finally at last we made it to Colorado Springs!
One of the first nights we were there we went down to Pueblo to see Grandpa Ken's place.

After dinner we went to this cute little place in Pueblo that has quarter rides! Most all the rides are only a quarter- some fifty cents. The kids had a ball

The next morning we went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with Grammy. Bad timing on our part because it was a late night the night before and the kids were a bit whiny. Still it was fun and the kids loved seeing all the animals and spending time with Grammy!

There's a part where it has a big sign warning that rhino's spray their territory and then they have a fake rhino that sprays water at the kids
Of course Hailey was getting in on that! But really they need to set up a candid camera because not all people read signs and it was pretty hilarious!
Grammy took a few of the kids on the tran. Who knew my girls were afraid of heights? Strange
We also went up to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun.
Funniest moment of the trip right here. I was taking the picture and I said, "Say Cheese!" and Jay screams out "Say BOOBIES!!!" And it was how he said it and everything. Oh my gosh we all lost it!
And don't worry- he kept with it the entire trip telling everyone how much he loves boobies. And he would just walk around saying, "boobies, boobies, boobies, ...." I have no clue where that came from seriously!

The kids had a great time playing with all of their cousins! They also got to go watch Uncle Chris play a hockey game. Hailey came home acting out Chris saving the day with his defensive skills. lol
One of the nights we planned to have a camp out in Chris and Brittney's backyard. Again the weather was beautiful. We stopped to get some chips for the barbecue and it starts down-pouring like crazy! I was like, "Come on kids! Who was thinking it was going to rain!" Again with the rain and camping! haha. So they all lined up in the living room and watched a movie. The Dads were awesome to have a little sleepover with the kids while I took Cathy and Brittney to see a movie! :)
The next morning everyone just putted around the neighborhood on some of the toys they had. I learned how to ride a motorcycle :) I have been riding 4-wheelers since I was about 10, but never driven a motorcycle. I never even got on the back of one until I met Kevin. What can I say they have just always freaked me out the whole 2 wheel thing. But let me say- So much fun! I'm totally getting one lol
By the end of the week the kids were pooped! What can I say- Dad knows how to plan a fun trip!!
