Easter

What says Easter more than tullips at the temple?
I took them up there Friday after school. We don't have flowers in our yard yet, so Jay was completely entranced by them. So cute!

I never did get pictures of the kids with their baskets on Easter, but we did get a bunch before we left for church

stinker!
Kevin's sister Kelli and her family joined us for Easter weekend!
Here's their sweet and beautiful family
Cool guy Simon
9 baskets/bags waiting for the kids to come
The Easter Bunny hid 9 different colors all over the backyard for the kids to hunt for so that everyone would get the same amount
Jay was enjoying it big time this year!
TJay and Scott getting the broom out for the tall spots....sneaky Easter Bunny!
Looks like fun right!? Then we got to come in and eat Kelli's famous crepes for breakfast
We had such a great time with Kelli, Jess and the kids! My kids always love it! Nobody is left out and everyone has somebody their age- so fun!
Here they all are in order after having WAY too much candy! lol
Jay, Summer, Scott, Matthew, Hailey, Lexi, Ari, Simon and Jay
Until we meet again.... in Montana! Can't wait!! :)

Spring Soccer started! Yeah! :)
Busy time for the family, and we only have 2 playing. I am coaching Hailey's co-ed U6 team, and kind of turned out to be the assitant coach for Scott's all boys U8 team- but it has been fun! I have coached Scott's team before, but I have really enjoyed coaching Hailey's age-they are too cute!
Scott playing goalie on Saturday
Hailey had just come from playing her game, and Scott's team only had 5 players (and they play 7 at a time) so they begged her to join the team.
Pretty awesome to be 6 and play on an all boys 8 year old team!
some more of Scott in action

Cabo Mexico

I told Kevin I wanted to spend my 30th birthday on the beach somewhere...
so my mom came and watched the kids and we went to Cabo, Mexico! :)
View from our room
Tuesday through Saturday afternoon and we spent it all laying out poolside and beachside. I really just wanted to do absolutely nothing which was fine with Kevin because he had been working 15 hour days right before we left. We talked, read books, took naps, and watched all the drunks make fools of themselves...pretty entertaining lol
The one thing we did do besides relax every day was the zipline on my birthday-Friday. I thought I was signing up to just do the zipline which I was totally excited for, but little did I know I would be rockclimbing and repelling down 100 feet cliffs....which doesn't really settle too well with me- but I did it! So much fun! 3 hour tour of rockclimbing and ziplining. Here's some of our pictures :)
I'm in the front in the grey holding up the line. Looks easy, but not so much when the guide is shaking the rope to be funny....ha ha
Tarzan swing where they spin you as fast as they can and send you flying
Here's the repel...calm and cool Kev
Kevin doing the last zipline of the day which was the superman- you don't control the speed and they said on average you go 65 miles an hour give or take your weight and it was a mile long. So amazing! Funnest thing I have ever done I'm pretty sure. :)
It was quite the ordeal, especially hiking around with all that gear on- but definately an amazing experience!
Then we came back, got lunch and relaxed some more, then got ready and took a taxi to town for my birthday dinner at "Mi Casa"
Bre told us about it and it was the cutest thing on the planet. Funny though how you don't just eat dinner, you have to pay the mariachi band to sing a song, pay to get your picture taken, etc. Everyone's looking for money lol. The band came up and asked what song we wanted him to play and Kevin said, "Feliz Complianos" so they sang "Happy Birthday" in English! What? Kevin was annoyed lol.
We both had the carne asada which also came with a chicken enchilada. Best Mexican food ever! I totally would have ordered another round had I not been stuffed already! :) They even had little old ladies working the fired ovens making the tortillas by hand
Almost every flea market little stop we went to had skeletons on everything which I guess is because of the Mexican "day of the dead". This Katrina as she is called was at the resturaunt doing pictures
Then we walked down town and spent about 1 1/2-2 hours walking through the flea markets. We ended up buying the girls these cute little purses made out of candy wrappers, Jay a leather bracelet and Scott a fish bone necklace. I got a hand painted spoon rest for my kitchen and some colored leather bracelets. Then we headed back, spent our last night laying in the cabana poolside talking. Best birthday by far I would have to say :)

So sad to leave, but we had such an amazing time! Thanks so much Mom for watching (did I say watching, I meant spoiling) the kids!
