We haven't been up to much since we've been home...just trying to stay cool in this hot and humid place!

Scott complains about taking a quiet time in his room every day, but he really loves it and it's usually his most imaginative play. His favorite thing is to just build  all kinds of things out of legos (displayed proudly  on his dresser), but this day he was into making ramps for his cars to fly across his messy room. I'm lucky if I can open the door after the hour is over- he has usually transformed his room :)

Yesterday I was taking a late bike ride with the kids and we were riding along the sidewalk down hill and getting close to where we needed to turn. I was yelling at Hailey to slow down and use her brakes but I guess she forgot, so she's just flying along teetering back and forth on each training wheel, bumps over the curb and ends perfectly sitting on her bike right side up. I said "Hailey where are your brakes? Did you forget how to use them?" She looks right up at me and says, "No Mom. I wanted to do that." The teacher subbing sunbeams on Sunday said she just loves Hailey and she is so sweet. I said, "Well I hope she was sweet for you, she can be.." and she finished for me and said, "Feisty! I love it!"

Ari is getting so big! I can't believe she's almost 18 months old. She definitely has started to take charge around this house-she goes through the house bossing everyone around (but look at this innocent face mom!)

Last night Scott came and brought me some chunks of his hair. He likes to use hairspray and style his hair. Well apparently he got to much hairspray in a few places and instead of washing it out he decided to snip it out with nail clippers. So after a bath he was left with a huge bald spot in the center of his head. He thought it was hilarious and was very excited to get his head shaved to cover the spot. All smiles!

I had over 900 pictures on my camera when my month of summer vacation came to an end...so much fun!

DISNEYLAND!!

One of the days my parents watched Ari and Kevin and I took Scott and Hailey to Disneyland. They waited and earned this for months now and were so excited to finally go!

 Hailey had so much fun we stood in line to go again with Dad and Scott

 Hailey and I stood in line for over an hour to meet "all the princesses" but really it was just Jasmine, Belle and Tiana. Hailey got done meeting them and said, "But that was just 3, where's Cinderella?" She is completely in love with Cinderella and very loyal to her asking the other princesses where she was

So we stayed to watch the show and were told she could meet her afterwards....60 more minutes and she got to see her but they weren't meeting with anyone afterwards. Sadly we decided to move on to some more rides

Lucky stars we spotted her head over a bush and I screamed at Hailey "There's Cinderella go get her!!!" (they walk very fast so they don't get stopped) So we had a full stocker experience (the things we do for our kids) and ditched the stroller to chase Cinderella 1/2 mile through the park so Hailey could meet her idol

 Hailey's favorite ride was the roller coaster she rode with Brooke. You can see Brooke's hand up and Kevin's hand up behind riding with Scott. I guess Hailey had her hands up screaming "Whoo Hoo" the whole time

 We waited all day for our fast passes for Splash Mountain and Hailey missed the height requirement by like 1/4th an inch...the lady tried really hard having her reach and everything it was so sad! We went and rode the winnie the pooh ride together so it worked out.

 Kevin and Scott got soaked and it was definitely Scott's all time favorite ride

 We stayed until the kids asked to go home which was around 11 pm. Hailey said, "Mom I think I'm ready to go home" ... 5 minutes later she was passed out in the stroller

 So we get to the shuttles to the parking lot and there's a huge line! Last thing you want to see after a day of standing in lines! I said, "Forget that I'm not waking Hailey up to take the bus, call me when you get there" and I walked. I actually beat them to the parking lot and was waiting by the car to take this picture...Scott passed out standing up on the bus and Kevin had to carry him LOL

 8 am until 11 pm

15 hours of fun at Disneyland! It was awesome! They woke up around 9:30 the next morning grinning and singing theme songs :)
