1st Day of School!!!

1st day of school was today!

Can you tell who is the most excited!?

I can't believe I have a 5th grader! Unbelievable!

 Hailey started the 3rd grade 

And Arianna started 1st! All day this year!

Scott is the guinea pig with teachers since he is the oldest. But so far Hailey and Arianna BOTH have followed in his footsteps and had the same teachers he did! So crazy! And lucky to get teachers we know and love!!

Update on Scott

Scott is doing good! He had his regular 6 month checkup at Primary Children's last week. They were way behind schedule with the MRI so Scott and I played checkers for an hour and half! But Scott didn't mind- he always loves to challenge me to a game. Plus he got a root-beer- so there ya go. Great attitude this kid has. :) 

Afterwards we waited another few hours for his oncologist appointment where we waited some more because the radiologist hadn't sent up the results yet. It was a long day! But the news is that the tumor is still stable and not growing enough to measure. That's great! We hope it stays that way and that Scott continues to grow and do all the fun things he loves to do! We asked if he could go every year for appointments since it will have been 2 years in October since his surgery. But she said no. lol. Apparently 2 years isn't very long when tumors are concerned...but like I told Kevin- He's probably had it his whole life! We have only been watching it for 2 years. Oh well. But all is well! He's doing great and started 5th grade today! Yay!

Kelli and Grammy Visit!

Grammy came to Utah along with Kevin's sister Kelli and her 5 kiddos. They all went to a Germany reunion (Kevin too) to meet up with their friends from the Airforce Base when they were all stationed there together.
Then a few days later Grammy, Kelli and the kids came on up to our house! We always love our yearly visit with them and the kids have so much fun!
Any guesses where we took them? lol Bear Lake! I'm telling you every year summer comes and goes and I regret not going to Bear Lake more since it's only an hour away. So this summer we have gone lots!

 It was extremely windy. We got in a few good hours but then it got pretty bad. Everyone was great sports about it though and we still had a great time.

Last week we decided to check out a new place about 45 minutes or so from here called Porcupine Reservoir. Beautiful!

Did some fishing. Brought our kayaks but guess what? Didn't bring the paddles!!! Kevin was so mad! Whatever- can't remember everything right! It was funny.

 We didn't want to leave. It was just so calm as the night went on- so pretty!

 I have been busy canning green beans and pears. And eating lots of romaine, lettuce, cucumbers, peas, squash, and zucchini from the garden. Arianna brought this sunflower home in a tiny cup the last day of school as a seed. It's huge! So fun!

 School starts for my kids on Wednesday. We have swam almost every day last week and this week. Trying to get our last bits of fun in! It's been a busy fun summer!!

Candice and Kids Visit

My sister Candice flew here with her kiddos Mia and Kellan for the first week of August

Our first stop was up to Idaho to see our Grandma Lill. Luckily our Aunt Patty invited her to Lava, so it was much closer :)

 We just hung out at Patty's and visited all day

Then Patty talked my sister and I into floating the river with all the kids. It was pretty funny just because we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, rapids and little waterfalls and all. The kids had a blast and I did too! So much fun! We are definitely going to have to do that again!

 We even got to see our cousin Michelle and let the kids play for a bit at the park with her cute boys

The next day we packed up and took them to Bear Lake!

 Friday night Rick drove out so they could spend some time in SLC and then drive on back to Vegas. So we took them to one of our favorite spots. (favorite as in we had already driven lots of hours the 2 previous days so we went somewhere close!)

Scott caught a fish after Rick yelled at him from across the way that his line looked tight haha- so much for paying attention!

Ari isn't really into the fishing thing, so I handed her my camera and told her to go have fun.

There were at least 40 pictures of ducks and the back of Rick's head and legs lol, but she actually got some good ones too! All of these ones:

 I love the different angles kids can get! I'm going to have her do that more often! So cute!

It was fun to have everyone for a few days and play!
