Jay was introduced to olives this week :)

 Hard to believe this little guy is 18 months in just a few days! 

 So much fun with 2 big sisters to dress you up

and then there are these two trouble makers

 Oh and the cat is back....along with a friend so now we have two. I did see the orange one (major wild hissing tom cat) take down a mouse in our backyard though, so I guess they can stay and be pest control. The kids just adore the brown and black one. We let him inside and he even layed on Scott's tummy while he read in his bed the other night. He has absolutely no allergic reactions to this cat-strangest thing!

Other than that we have just been doing labor in our backyard trying to get it done this Spring, Kevin has been working a ton, and we are getting ready for our much needed Spring break next week. The kids and I are headed down to St. George to play with Aunt Brooke. And we need the sunshine! It snowed yesterday... and the day before-blah!

Today was swimming "show off" day at preschool where the parents get to come and watch. 

 She was a bit distracted trying to pose for the camera and wave constantly- pretty cute

 such a cute little fish :)

 This weekend we finished the sandbox for the kids. Kevin bought some trex decking he is going to put around the edges for a seat- but so far the kids have really been enjoying it. Plus they had a BLAST dumping it in since it took 7 loads from the truck...a total of 4 yards of sand! lol

2 weekends ago while we were out doing yardwork we had a stray kitten for about 3 entire days. The kids were obsessed. As soon as they woke up they would check to see if he was there. I promise I did not pose them like this, they just all lined up to see the cat. It was a weekend of running, chasing with sticks, and just having a ball with this cute cat and then he just disappeared and the kids have been majorly sad about it. We need a pet.

Here's Jay in action. He went and got the stool and I was watching to see what he would do with it. Well, Scott closes his door when he goes to school so that Jay won't get into his stuff.

 There has been a virus going around school in the 2nd grade that just layed Scott out flat. Went from being completely healthy and playing to 103 temp and not able to breath. After a long night of breathing treatments every 3 hours we took him in first thing Monday morning. Doc couldn't hear anything over his asthma so we had to do some treatments in the office to open his lungs up so that they could hear better.... pneumonia along with a major asthma flareup. He's being treated at home really aggressive- oral steriods, breathing treatments every 3 hours and antibiotics. Pretty scary there for a bit, but I can tell the steroids have kicked in now. He is already feeling much better and tells me, 

"Hey- I'd rather be sick and get to stay home then be at school!"  lol

Life is good when you haven't a care in the world 

(And your one and only goal each day is to see how many things you can pull out of every drawer and cupboard in the house and to see how big of a mess you can make at dinnertime)

Scott had his first blue and gold banquet for scouts a few weeks ago. 

He earned his bobcat! :) In his troop they have a tradition where the cubmaster puts the bobcat on him upside down, and then he has to do a "good turn" before he can turn it the right way on his uniform. 

He also got a few beads and earned 2 new belt buckles. He is loving Scouts so much and it's been fun to see him grow. The leaders always tell me that he is such a good kid and so respectful (which makes me happy because I lecture him every day when I drop him off NOT to do what the other boys do and to set an example lol)

 I posted pictures from the pinewood derby, but they honored them again at the blue and gold. My little guy is growing up, that's for sure!

The kids didn't have school on Friday, so we talked Dad into taking some time off and headed to the Hogle Zoo for some (a tiny bit) of warm weather fun

The kids got a kick out of this orangutan. He put up a big pile of hay and went to find his blankie and put it over his head and cuddled into the corner. It was adorable

 Scott loves snakes and couldn't get enough of all the snake habitats they had. If I was a super cool mom I would let him get one, but we're not there yet ;)

 

Hailey was a little disappointed she didn't get to see her favorite- a cheetah. They had a lion, and even a leopard, but its just not the same I guess lol

Hailey's favorite animal is the elephant and of course Scott's is the snake.
