Vegas Trip

Me and the kiddos took off and went to Vegas for a week. Brooke even brought the girls for one day to swim. Check out the little line of girls to have Grandpa comb their hair after swimming. He even did braids :)

 My favorite part about going to Vegas is that the kids will swim every day and I don't have to think of things to entertain them. We just relax and swim every day. The kids love playing in the sandbox too. I was horrible about taking pictures but my sister Candice got a bunch with her phone.

 Taking a ride in Grandma's Mothers Day present. I even got to drive it and refresh on my manual driving skills. It was soooo much fun to drive! Sounds so awesome!

 Everyone went to Newport Cali on Friday but we decided not to go this year. Saving all our beach fun for Hawaii in July! :) 

So I took the kids to the Childrens Museum which they thought was awesome! Not even a comparison to what they are use to in SLC I guess. We could have stayed at this one all day!

 Then Grandpa took half the day Saturday to do whatever my kids wanted. Would you believe me if I told you they wanted to go hiking over a water park? I think they were getting tired of the heat and Mount Charleston was 80 degrees compared to the 110 at Grandmas :) We went and did the hike to Mary Jane Falls which I did many many times growing up. Everyone did pretty good. Jay complained a lot. But at least he complained as we walked. He never quit lol

 Look at her face. Ari was NOT happy that somebody vandalized this little cave. It made her very very sad.

 We ate lunch at the top with this pretty view! I brought a bottle of soda and of course forgot that we climbed 1500 feet in elevation. It exploded everywhere and all over me and the kids. Ari almost jumped off the cliff it scared her so bad. Memory for sure though ;)

 There were tons and tons of butterflies at the top which was sooo amazing! The kids loved that!

 It was a super fun day. And Grandpa even took us for slurpies after. Yay!

We had a great time at Grandmas hanging out! Especially with Candice and Brooke and their cute kiddos. The kids all absolutely love playing with cousins. And we get to see Mia up here in Cache Valley for the 4th of July with Grandma so that will be fun. The week flew by way too quick! I hope the rest of summer slows down!

Summer So Far

The day after Kevin's birthday I did the Little Red. It's an all womens bike race/ride. We did the 27 mile. Next year we are going for the 36

Kevin brought the kids out to cheer for me. I was a little sad they didn't do that when I ran the half marathon back in 2010. So he says one of the signs was for that. lol. They definitely  made up for it :)

I was actually not looking forward to it or the training involved. But I made the time to train and I rode about 10 miles 4 days a week and THEN when my friend loaned me a road bike I was totally hooked. So much fun! I'm definitely going to have to save up for a bike and do the longer 36 mile next year. 

In the springtime the girls and I bought some little things to make a Fairy Garden with. And then I put them away and totally forgot! So at last they finally got to do their fairy garden and it turned out so cute!

complete with fairy glitter of course which is what brings the fairies to life. They also planted little flower seeds so right now there are flowers all around the house growing. So fun!

 We also got a blow up pool to beat the heat. So far so good :)

 This was a note from Ari after I was already getting a little cranky from the first week of summer. lol. Do you want some you time? Um yes please! :) lol

 A friend of Hailey's also got her hooked on slime, so we have been making lots and lots of slime!!

Fathers Day!! It is kind of funny I always share my birthday month with Mother's Day, and Kevin shares his birthday month with Father's Day. Spoiled for the month I guess!

 This picture wasn't even staged. I heard all the commotion and went into Scott's room to find this. I was laughing asking if they picked the smallest bed on purpose but it was just plain fun. Kevin always gets them riled up!

 Then for some reason it transpired into doing all the boys hair funny? The girls choice of course

We had a fun day. We went up to the mountains again and goofed off which is always really fun
