Trip to Vegas and St George and a Visit from Gma Lill

My Aunt Patty called and asked me if she and my Grandma Lill could come visit! Of course I said yes!!! It was sooo great to see my Grandma and get to spend the afternoon with them. Jay became quite good friends with my Aunt Patty. Thanks for bringing Grandma to see me Patty! You are the best!!

Last weekend we had Friday and Monday off of school, so Thursday night I decided to take the kids to Vegas. I started packing around 8:30 pm. I love spontaneous trips! I didn't tell anyone so it was a super fun suprise. The kids wanted to go to Candice's school. Hailey barged into her classroom and said, "Does anyone know where Mrs Blasers class is?" Candice was very confused. Mia was soooo excited!

 Then we went to Grandmas and dropped off a poster sized valentine on her door and hid in her bushes. We also went with Grandma to meet Grandpa for dinner and hid in the booths to surprise him. Lots of surprises! So fun! I told Kevin the only way I can surprise people is by taking spontaneous trips because I am a horrible secret keeper lol



We spent the weekend majorly soaking up the beautiful sun. I told the kids I hoped they all got sunburned. Seriously we haven't seen the sky in Logan for over a month. It was a much needed trip. And while we were there in 75 degree weather, it was snowing in Cache Valley! Seriously people! Enough is enough!


I love how Grandpa squeezes into the play house with the kids. So fun!

Then I decided since I was already down there, might as well let the kids skip one day of school lol. So Monday morning we headed to St. George to spend the day and night with Brooke! 
Laya bean was being so grouchy to us at first and saying "No!" to everything! I told Scott just hang in there with her and she'll eventually warm up to you. So then she took this bunny and chucked it at his head like "Na uh!" lol He just hung in there and then started tickling her leg and eventually she warmed up and then couldn't get enough of him


So sweet! 


I didn't get a ton of pictures, but Monday night Brooke wanted to go to Target and get some things checked off her list before the baby comes. The way the baby is carrying, her back hurts super bad by the end of the day. I knew it would be a quick trip unless I got her comfy, so we hooked her up with a ride!

It was seriously awesome! The best trip ever to Target! Funniest part was when I text a picture to her husband....he thought it was funny at first but when I text him some more he was like, "Wait a minute! She's actually driving that thing around?!!!" Oh my goodness- seriously hilarious! Brooke you are too much fun! Thanks for letting us come crash!

Even though I was exhausted being a single mom at this point, I decided we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go see the new Provo City temple. So we reserved tickets and went to the open house. 

The kids loved it. Jay wasn't paying too much attention during the tour. After it was done he was all upset and said, "Wait a minute! I didn't get to see Jesus!" lol 

Luckily the warm weather followed us for a few days, then it snowed again. It was funny as we were driving through Salt Lake I told the kids, "Look you can actually see the sky now! The clouds and inversion moved out!" And Ari said, "No, I think it was always that way but you cleaned the windows on the car so now we can see!" lol
Oh and I made up a "Best Road tripper Award" and it goes to...you'll never guess but it's true- Arianna!

Skiing and Ice Skating

I need to catch up a little bit for this month! Where has February gone?! 

One Friday the kids didn't have school so Kevin took Scott skiing at Beaver Mountain.

Skiing is probably Scott's favorite sport at this point! :) They even got to go for a whole day field trip with their class. Looks like we need to find some skis for next year!

 I opted to stay home and take the younger 3 ice skating. 

This was Ari and Jay's first time, so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into! But luckily it ended up being so much fun. Jay grabbed a little walker and wouldn't let me go near him the rest of the time. When it was time to go he actually told me to go ahead with Hailey and Ari and leave him there. lol

We had a great time!

Scott has been taking a shooting class at the shooting range every other Saturday. He has finished the archery portion and next will be the air riffles. He does so awesome! The instructor even had balloons and he was the only one who popped his from the far distance. This kid is one sharp shooter!

I was cleaning Ari's room the other day and found a bed she made out of paper for her puppy. How hilarious is this? A pillow and everything. She loves Greenbay (hence why she isn't in the next picture lol)
