We had a super fun church activity last weekend...sledding

 Scott got to feed Jay the other day with some breastmilk. Trying to prepare him for his first nights without me when we go to St. George for our 10th Anniversary!

How can you not wake up in a good mood when this fuzz ball climbs into your bed every morning?

 Ari takes "bed head" to the next level for sure. AND she even had a bath last night it's not like she went to bed with curly hair or anything....I've never seen anything like it

I have really been slacking on my weekly postings and also on things to post and take pictures of! My life has been just a wee bit more busy lately. Can you tell by the pictures who takes up all my time? How can I help it though look at this cutie!

 He is still so chill. I think even more than Scott was which is pretty hard to believe. He loves to sit and suck on his fists and he loves playing with his fingers. Most of the time he will have them interlocked together....so cute

Ari ate 3 strings of spaghetti tonight!!! I know the rest of you think that is crazy, but around here we could not be more excited! I wish I got a picture of her, but I think I was too busy staring in unbelief! We have been working so hard with her and the therapy she has been getting (more like I have been getting...ideas, etc.) has helped soooo much! We are past all of the fear of looking at and fear of touching food. Then we moved onto kissing food, licking food and now onto the huge task of eating. She has only taken a bite of a carrot, crouton, and green bean so we are just starting for sure. I showed her with Hailey and I how you each have an end of the spaghetti and kiss in the middle, and after watching a few, she decided to try it out. I still can't believe it. :)

 The above pic is of Ari and her cherrio necklace. I'm sure everybody is freezing, but around here it's been -10 and there hasn't been much to do! So we decided to make some necklaces the other day.

 Things have been great around here. I'm just excited to see the sky taking all the kids to school this morning. It's been a week, maybe 2 since we have seen blue sky because we've had a huge inversion! Didn't miss that about Cache Valley!

I think it was 2 weekends ago we woke up Saturday morning and decided to go up to Rexburg for the day. Half way there and I realized I didn't bring my camera! Thank goodness for cellphones right?

 We didn't even know if we would catch my grandma's and didn't even call- it was just a whim :) We went to my Grandma Lill's and even caught her home alone (which is very very rare lol) so it was fun to spend the early afternoon with her. We begged her to let us take her to lunch, but she insisted we eat all the leftovers in her fridge from the holidays! lol

The kids were awesome all day! They just played and enjoyed themselves without fighting or anything! It was a real treat for sure :) (the famous train that all the grandkids and greatgrandkids play with. I can even remember it as a kid!)

I did send them outside for a few minutes when they got antsy. They love this tire swing, even in the snow!

 I miss living in Rexburg and getting to go see my Grandmas anytime I felt like it. I also missed seeing my Grandpas too. Unfortunately both my Grandpas passed away while we were living in Missouri. Luckily right before we moved there we took one last trip to Rexburg to see them. I gave my Grandma Lill and Grandpa LaVall a hug and when I hugged my grandpa I lost it. remember crying as we drove away and Kevin asked what was wrong It just hit me when I hugged my Grandpa that it was going to be the last time I saw him, and I was right....in this life anyway  

Being at Grandma's reminded me about bringing Scott to her house each week in college to do laundry. He was an angel baby and we never got a peep out of him, and that was the same way with Jay. He has the same temperament. We were also able to see my Uncle Jeff and his family, so that was fun too.

 Then it was off to Grandma Rosies. She had company too- my Aunt Becky and cousin Amy and her daughter. It was fun to just hang out for a bit and visit.

Arianna doesn't usually cuddle up to anybody. She hates strangers and even people she knows she is cautious about, but she could not leave Grandma Rosie alone. It was so cute. Grandma would just be sitting there and Ari would back up to her lap. Grandma said, "I think she has made herself home" it was pretty cute. My Grandma had 10 kids so to say she has a way with children is an understatement lol. :)

 I was so glad to get to go up to Rexburg, even if it was just for the afternoon. I just wanted Jay to get to meet his Grandmas :)

On the way out of town we drove the kids up to see the LDS Rexburg Temple. I have to say that Ari is completely obsessed with temples and church. She begs us every day to go to church and we have to tell her she has to wait until Sunday. She has always seemed to have a sensitive little spirit and has been in tune with all things spiritual. So we were in the car of course and she thought she was going to get to go inside. We told her we weren't able to go in and she lost it and bawled and bawled. "I want to go in the temple!" "I want to go in!" She got to go through the Kansas City and the Brigham City temples, so she obviously missed the spirit she felt there. It was really sweet.

And one closing note: I love this little guy!!

New tricks: can roll from his tummy to his back for about a month now, can hold his head up so good, loves tummy time on the boppy, smiles and laughs and just started holding his rings from grandma.

so funny! lol

Every morning he is so happy! He wakes up at 6:30 to eat (but only after waking at least 3 times at night!!!) and I nurse him in bed with my lamp on. After he's done we just hang out and this is still one of his happiest times of the day. Today he was just laughing and laughing. It was so adorable!

He is such a cutie!

Happy New Year!

We have a tradition (adopted from my side of the family) to have a fondue party for New Year's Eve. Not desserts, but a meat smorgasbord. We've been doing this every year and never miss...it's that good! :)

We invited our neighbors over who have 5 boys (3 of them the exact ages of Scott, Hailey and Ari) which gave me an excuse to get another fondue pot. I'm so excited we have 2 now which we will need as the kids get older. We did steak, chicken and shrimp in the fondue and had lots of sides too. It was sooo yummy. I was so glad their teenagers decided to come...actually they cancelled their plans with friends to come! We just had a blast eating all night and playing games while the little kids played down in the basement. I hate thinking about the kids getting older, especially becoming teenagers- But our neighbor boys made me actually have something to look forward to and they were so much fun.

We put the kids to bed at 11, which I felt bad about after the fact- because what's one more hour when it's already that late right? Kevin and I watched the ball drop at midnight and then a few neighbors had some fireworks going so we peeked out our backyard window and saw a small herd of deer! I counted about 13 of them! 2 bucks and 3 babies and the rest were doe. It was soooo awesome I couldn't believe it! I couldn't even stop staring to get my camera, but mark my words- I will catch them again! I will check every night if I have to :)
