Packing Up

 We are all packed up and are stuff is on its way to Missouri!

This is our 6th move in 8 years and the first time we got to sit back and let them pack and load everything- awesome!

The entertainment for the night since everything was packed up. The kids loved camping out in their empty rooms 

 Saturday was so crazy trying to finish cleaning and get on the road. Finally I decided it was better for Hailey to help me and make a mess because I needed to finish other things. Hailey loved it of course, and I think it's important for Arianna to have memories with Hailey that don't involve tears. Haha

No seriously my mom can attest to this- Arianna swats and screams anytime Hailey comes near her!

 Once we got in the car Scott said "I'm kind of a little sad because I really really liked this house."

This is seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen! As we were getting things done, to get Scott out of my way I handed him our old camera and told him to video tape our house before we leave it. Our old camera quits all the time, and of course it had to quit right when he got to his room! So mad! Still it is just adorable!

Now we are headed on our 21 hour, 1362 mile treck to our new home- (stopping in Colorado Springs for a visit of course!)

Trip to Rexburg

We took a trip up to Idaho to visit my grandparents this weekend. I'm so fortunate to have both sets of my grandparents living, and definitely wanted to enjoy their company one last time before I move so far away.

My mom was out there visiting too, so that was fun!

My uncle Rob has a beautiful pond right in his front yard, so he let the kids go fishing

I don't think I've ever had so much fun fishing in my life! He didn't feed the fish, and boy were they hungry-they were jumping out of the water and everything

Scott caught a fish and was laughing hysterically the entire time he reeled it in

Hailey had so much fun fishing and even caught one of her own. It was a gory hook, and after blood splashed up on her and grandma, she spent the rest of the time looking for flowers (look at her face-hilarious)

So I have to tell you a story... when Kevin and I first started dating I took him out to this same pond and he could not catch a fish. I caught 3 or 4 and he stayed at this pond until like 10 at night trying so hard and never caught one. I had bragging rights for the past 8 years :) I made the comment that he was coming back for revenge, and boy did he ever! They call this fish "Moby Dick" and it was about 5 pounds!

Grandpa Rydalch was holding Ari between his legs trying to adjust his hat to fit her...Grandma was worried. These two are so sweet. You can't find a better example of a marriage than this (60 years of marriage!) They are so sweet to each other, and I asked my Grandma if they have ever got into a fight. She said, "Yeah, once I got so mad at him when he left I threw a loaf of bread at him" Soooo funny!

Kevin and I have no clue where this girl got her personality from! We were both super shy little kids, and Hailey is the most outgoing kid I've ever met in my life

Grandma Lill has had a drawer toy box at the very end of her hallway for as long as I can remember. We played in it as kids, and each of my kids have enjoyed it too- check it out

We had a great time visiting!

This week the packers are coming Wednesday and Thursday and the movers on Friday. Then we are off to Colorado on Saturday- crazy week-I can't believe it's here already!

Last Months in Utah

There might be a picture overload as we are trying to squeeze in everything fun before our big move next weekend. We are sure going to miss Cache Valley! We love it here!

This last Saturday the kids begged us to go hiking so we went up to one of our favorite easy trails for the kids called Stokes Nature Trail

Trying to get the kids excited about moving to Missouri, I told them there were lots of bugs and if they sold some toys at our garage sale we could buy bug vacuums. Luckily they showed up on our doorstep about an hour before our hike so we got to take them! Here's Hailey proudly showing off her big ant she sucked up with her gun- too cute!

Then today our house was featured on the Realtor Home Tour and we had to be out of the house. The kids and I had a picnic at one of our favorite parks (thanks Mel)

I kept telling Hailey that no, she can't do everything Scott does because she's a lot younger...

but who am I kidding? She does it and just as good too

September Happenings

This is what happens if you forget to check on your zucchini for just one day....no joke!

The kids and I had fun today cleaning out the garden and using the corn husks to decorate our front steps. They look better in person...it turned out really cute

It's official...I dropped Arianna off in the living room to get some cooking done in the kitchen and she followed me. Nope- she's not crawling yet! She's official our first child to do the army crawl (grabs the carpet in front of her and pulls). Hilarious!

7 months has earned Ari the bike seat rights, and she loves it!

Last weekend we wanted to go camping, but Ari and I have had a cold and the temps dropped quite a bit. We decided to do it in our backyard and it turned out really fun. We set up the tent, had dutch oven dinner and played games in the tent. That way Ari and I slept inside with tissues near by, and the kids still had a blast. Kevin is such a great sport. He ended up camping with them 2 nights in a row. They just wouldn't let him take it down.

Scott Starts Preschool and Such

This is what Arianna does all day long. It's so hilarious! She's missing the most important step-bend you're knees! One of these days she's going to get it

Scott started preschool last week! Once we get to Missouri he'll probably go every day since they do all day kindergarden. Crazy! One more year and this little guy is going to the big leagues- that makes me really sad already!

When I looked out the front window and saw this I had to run get my camera- too funny

It's so fun to have a girl around to remind people to say their prayers, close doors after everyone, cover Ari's ears when things get to loud and clean up everyone's cereals after breakfast. Seriously, Hailey is such a mommy it just melts my heart. Lately she has been having so much fun using her salon stuff to dress up Arianna. She even pretends to squirt lotion on Ari's hands and then rubs them together for her

Here she is saying, "Close your eyes" so she can comb and pretend to spray her hair. Just adorable ...and so sweet

I got the best video of Arianna laughing from when I was in Vegas, but it won't upload the sound! Thank goodness my sister Bre was videoing too, so here she is
