Scott Rides without Training Wheels!

A Glorious Momentous Day!

Saturday morning Kevin and I were taking the Christmas lights off the roof and we noticed Scott was tinkering around with his bike. He kept going back to Kevin's tool box and then back to his bike. He found the right sized wrench and took his training wheels off his bike and said, "Come on Dad! Let's go!"

Scott Playing with Ari Video

This video was from last week. (Can you tell I'm loving my flip video cam?) Hailey was down for a nap and I walked into the kitchen and Scott was playing this cute game with Ari....she would throw the ball out and he would throw the ball back in. It was so cute to hear her squeel and have fun with her big brother- so sweet

All our kids have HUGE teeth! Looks like Ari is going to join the bunch. She got 2 new teeth this week- the top ones

She also graduated from the bottle to the sippy cup. Dad was persistent and wouldn't give up last Saturday morning, and said "NO more bottles!" Being the Mom I was thinking at least keep the bedtime bottle, but nope. She's a big girl! She also moved to whole milk as of today. She really enjoyed it and I'm just glad there were no reactions- who hoo! 

Speaking of reactions, I made Scott eat a Cheeto and he didn't react. That was one of the major biggies that would make his mouth and throat swell, so that is great news!

The other day the kids were coloring and Ari wanted up so bad, so we pulled her out a chair to sit up with the big kids

 We were surprised that she knew just what to do!

 

 but then she started being a circus clown, so that was the end of that moment

 I can't get enough of Hailey's big blue eyes!

 She's been letting me french braid her hair lately and it's just so darn cute- I had to take a few pictures

 Man I love this girl! She brings so much fun into our home!

Life of a Mom (other than having to say "clean up on aisle 5")....

having to do laundry twice because someone decided to stick a banana in their pocket and it blew up in the washing machine. I've had other victims before (diapers are the ultimate worse) but a banana, really?

I've said before how much Ari loves to dance, but every time I try to video tape it she comes running after the camera. My favorite move of hers is her little head roll thing...pretty cute

Snow in Missouri

I'm on the list for text alerts for the school district and was surprised on Thursday morning to get a message that school was cancelled due to snow. We all went running to look out the window to see our few inches. In Utah they don't cancel school unless it's several feet! Still, Scott had a blast playing in the snow all day instead of school

Most of it had melted off by today, but we spent a good few hours of our Saturday afternoon playing out in the snow in our front yard with the kids. They have really been missing the Utah snow (not us seeing that we haven't had to shovel the driveway once yet!)

Ari's favorite part was listening to her shoe make a squeaky noise in the sled....she was mesmerized

 What a fun time we had! Just to show that every day has it's ups and downs, let me finish the story.... after naps we decided to take the kids to Wendys for dinner and then we went to Walmart to look around. Hailey was throwing a fit about wanting every barbie and barbie accessory in the store, and screamed and cried so hard that she threw up all over the aisle her entire happy meal and frosty.

To end on a happy note, we came home and let the kids stay up an extra 30 minutes so we could have a family dance party... always a good time

I know the diaper isn't the best thing for her to be holding, but she screamed like a crazy person when I tried to take it from her, and besides it wasn't as important as getting the steps on video!

All time favorite game is Curious George Hide and Seek...you can tell they get into their parts too- Hailey is snorting and Scott is growling

We play a lot of hide and seek at our house and they are getting pretty creative too. Tonight Scott actually climbed over his dresser to hide in the corner. You can always find Hailey though- you can hear the snorts across the house

For those who didn't know, we have the ORIGINAL Bass Pro here, so what else do you do on a Saturday when it's too cold to do anything else and you're tired of being in the house. They even do free crafts every Saturday. Scott colored this little "wiggly fish"

Wow, can you imagine running into this guy in the woods? Yikes!

New year but nothing new :)

 Happiest baby in the world!

 I refuse to believe she is turning 1 next month!

She is getting so good at pushing things and has even decided she can walk one handed, only so she can hold her toys. I'm sure it won't be long before she lets go completely. (It would help if I rolled up her pants I'm sure)

 Scott and Hailey love to cook. They say, "Are you making dinner? I want to help!" as soon as I walk into the kitchen. They helped me make dinner about 3 days this week, and Hailey made some banana bread (all by herself). I let them do it all too. Here's Hailey pounding out chicken and Scott peeling potatoes.

Scott had his 5 year checkup this week and the doc said he's going to be much taller than his Dad. He was 90 percentile for both his height and his weight. So now his favorite thing is telling Kevin, "I'm going to be bigger than you Dad! Haha!" (He doesn't laugh, he actually says Ha Ha right in his face)
