Ari's dance performance

Ari had dress rehearsal from 9-1, a soccer game at 4:30 and then had to be at the theater dressed and ready to go at 6:30. 

So she went from running around on the soccer field, to this in 30 minutes. The game ended at 5:30 then we had to do hair and makeup and feed her some dinner all by 6! I was still finishing up her hair on the way to the theater while my mom drove. 

She was so exhausted I felt really bad for her. But when the lights are on- she knows how to put on a show! :)

The Ellen Eccles Theater is beautiful. This was Ari's 3rd time performing here. You can see the box seats closest to the stage- that's where Hailey, Kevin and Grammy got to sit 

Okay here's the best part- the videos! I am mad on this first one my camera took a minute to focus. And this dance starts out with Ari in the center with a little solo! I had no idea until the rehearsal that she had a solo! Mind you it's like 10 seconds, but still- awesome!!

I swear her favorite part every year is the curtain call when everyone cheers and she looks out into the audience and smiles. Love it!

A Post about Grandmas!

Both Grandma and Grammy came to visit a few weekends ago for Ari's dance performance and also to watch the girls' soccer games. So fun to have them both here! 

We took Grandma for a bike ride to the park to play frisbee and play on the playground. The kids were teasing Grandma for collecting people's over grown flowers and taking them home :) 

Saturday we were running around to soccer games and dance dress rehersal and there was also a lot of downtime. Grandma testing out our hammock

Sunday morning my mom and I left Grammy and Kevin with the kids and drove up to Idaho to visit both my Grandmas. Cathy even offered to watch the kiddos on Monday so we could stay the night!

We spent the day with Grandma Lill. She has some pretty bad dementia but she remembers people and was so excited to see us! Mostly mom I think! :) My mom says she tells her all the time she wishes she would just roll up in her driveway lol.

She kept doing a little jig saying how excited she was that we were there. "I'm so happy!" she kept saying

We had some pretty good laughs with Grandma. She gets the giggles and you can't stop her. Hilarious. We even went for a drive to hunt asparagus along the ditch banks. Here's the house I was brought home to when I was born ;)

Then Monday morning we came back to Grandma Lills and mom did her hair and then we went into town to do some shopping and lunch.

She seriously couldn't stop. Oh my gosh Grandma Lill is so cute! Love her!

After our shopping into town we went to where else but Costa Vida for lunch! Look how excited she was about her little baja bowl. So cute. 

We took Grandma back home...so sad saying goodbye. I hate that part! But we wanted to go to see my Grandma Rosie too. She and Grandma Lill only live a mile away, but Grandma Rosie's Alzheimers has gotten so bad that she is in a home now in Blackfoot. She was really too tired to talk with us. I got one picture of her but she was sleeping, which they said she would do most the day. I guess she is quite the night owl. Look at her little crossed legs. 

So sweet.

Candice and I are going to go back and bring the kids in the summer. Hopefully we will have better luck getting her to interact then :) 

Her room was really cute and we spent some time going through her pictures. I just love this one of her. And I can't get over how much my little nephew Kyse looks like her! Crazy. 

Absolutely gorgeous! 

I had such a great time with my mom driving up and back in her little rental car talking and talking! :) and to visit my beautiful grandmas! Lots of memories I will keep forever.

Jay loves dressing up. He is always either a knight or a sheriff. 

At Scott's school they have a mile run where they close down the street and the 3rd-5th graders race. Scott hates it. He is upset the whole way up and then usually calms down on the way back. I ran up the street with him and then his friend Jackson took him the rest of the way (look at our mountain view by the way...gorgeous!)

Awesome shot with his feet both off the ground! After it was done he said that was like a 20 pound weight off his shoulders. Poor kid. I was proud of him though. He jogged the whole way- good job Scott!

Mothers Day- With 9 am church I had the idea to have the kids make me some overnight french toast the night before. The kids had so much fun! 

Especially Ari and Jay. "Seriously mom? We can rip up this whole loaf?" lol

My Mother's Day was awesome. Lots of cute sweet notes from the kids, yummy food all day and I even got a nap :) Kevin grilled some steaks for dinner and we just had a fun day playing board games and enjoying family time. 

I am the luckiest Mom in the world to have these 4 kiddos! They are my life and I love them more than anything!

Kevin had the kids fill out those little forms about their moms. I could hear him asking Jay the questions and Jay said, "Mom looks so pretty when she rides her bike." I just thought that was so cute. I got a new beach cruiser for my birthday and every time I get on it Jay tells me I look so pretty and cool. haha.

I have coached pretty much every spring and fall for 4 years now all different age groups and boys and girls. This under 8 girls team has been my favorite! These girls are so much fun and have the best attitudes (plus they are super talented which makes it even more fun!)

Technically the seasons last game is on Saturday, but I decided to enter us into a tournament over Memorial weekend. We just weren't ready to be done yet ;)
