Arianna's Dance Performance

Arianna had her dance performance last weekend! She was a bit under the weather, but she puts her all into dance. I love it! So sweet! I think Kevin thinks I'm crazy with a perma-grin in the audience. I told him, "You know this is my favorite day of the whole year right?" He's like, "yeah I know!" :)

 Just a snapshot from her dance pix. Great Job Arianna! So proud of you for working so hard this year! (which is easier when she absolutely LOVES to dance!) 

 Grandma had a flight to go spend Mothers Day in Rexburg with her Mom. Then I told her that was the same weekend as the dance performance and she had to come since she was only hours away! So her and Grandma Lill made a day trip and drove down to spend the day with us. We got to freeze at Hailey's soccer game and then go to Ari's performance before she had to get Grandma Lill back home. It was so much fun! Thanks for coming Grandma!

 What fun to spend the day before Mother's Day with these two beautiful mothers in my life! I loved it!

Hailey's Spring Soccer

Hailey is so fun to watch. Kevin and I can never miss a game. Last season she scored 13 goals and so of course it was her goal to beat that score. This year she scored 21 goals! The seasons here are only 8 games. So awesome! She said she was proud of herself, but she is worried about beating it next year! Lol

Her coaches were so awesome! I think they helped bring out her competitiveness :)

Their team ended up undefeated too! They tied their very last game 5 to 5. And Hailey scored all 5 of their teams goals!

 I especially love how she despises pink, but her coach got them all matching pink socks to "unite" them. We had a little laugh about how I too disliked pink as a kid and we were the Little Mermaids and our jerseys were shiny pink! lol We talked about being a part of the team spirit and how it could have been worse- she could be called the Mermaids. lol 

So she wore them proudly to every game.

Don't let the white jerseys fool you, they just switch colors when they are the away team. 

 She is so aggressive too, but then again she's the only girl "allowed" to play on the boys field at school. So I think they have toughened her up. She was only warned a few times this season about keeping her elbows down. :) lol

Here's a compilation of a few cell phone clips I took. On the last one she got tripped pretty bad and got a free penalty kick. But she had to come off the field so one of her teammates took it for her

Jay's First Soccer Season

Jay begged to sign up for soccer this year! The awesomeness quickly wore off let me tell you... lol 

Hopefully he will give it another chance next year. It was just cold and they never won any games, in fact his team only scored 1 goal all season. So it was a bit of a crusher for the kids. 

Oh well, we still get cute pictures right? ;)

 He was hilarious to watch just because he has zero attention span. If he had on a jacket, he would be using it as wings in an airplane. If he had pockets, his hands would be in them. Even when we thought we got rid of all distractions he still managed to tangle himself into his own shirt with his arms. lol

Jay Shed His Training Wheels

Jay is riding his bike without training wheels! Grandpa B let him borrow a little strider bike he had, and Jay got so good riding it. We knew he could totally ride a regular bike without training wheels, but he would get so freaked out riding a bike with pedals! Finally he got over his fear and just took off Wednesday night! So fun! We had all the neighbors over watching and cheering him on.

First time! I of course was in the house getting the other kids ready for bed, but all the neighbors were there cheering him on!

The next day the neighbor told me he was riding up and down the street while I was in the house fixing dinner! lol

Day 3 which was today. He begged me to ride our bikes to the library which is about 1 1/2 miles from our house. This just proves that he knew all along he was just stubborn. He rode the whole way to the library and back which was up a hill. It was also really windy and he never complained once. He said, "My motto is 'NEVER give up!"

I tell Kevin all the time how much Jay reminds me of him, but he always comes back with the same thing and says, "I wasn't that cool at that age." This kid cracks us up!

We had a cute little cowboy carnival a few weeks back in our ward

Of course Jay wanted to wear his hat and badge! :) Well actually he asked me if he could bring his belt and guns but I told him the badge and hat were just great!
