Hailey was so upset that we weren't going anywhere for Thanksgiving. She said, "Fine. Okay. Well who is coming to our house then?" She was really disappointed to hear that nobody was coming either! Just us. It's a good thing we didn't plan on going anywhere though because both Arianna and Jay got croup right before and it was a nightmare for a few days!
Anyway we ended up having a wonderful, small, very chill Thanksgiving just with the six of us, beautiful weather, and really great football games!

We had so much fun cooking the dinner family style. The kids got Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off, and so they helped me make most of the dishes on Wednesday. They each had 2 or things they were in charge of along with the instructions and sometimes even the ingredients measured out for them. Then they just followed the directions, mixed it all up and viola!
Scott was less enthused that he was in charge of everything that needed heated on the stove since he's the biggest.

The other times we have just done our family at home for Thanksgiving I have gotten a turkey breast...so this was my first time roasting an actual turkey! I figured I better run through the Thanksgiving feast once without company just to make sure I know how! lol
And poor Hailey who is my food lover could barely enjoy any food because she got her first loose tooth! Along with the fact that her big girl molars are coming in at the same time in the back. Poor girl!
Friday she had enough and decided to pull it out herself!

The rest of the break we just enjoyed spending time with Dad! We watched a ton of football, did some garage organizing, a small amount of shopping, putting up our Christmas decor and even went to see the new Frozen movie as a family.
It was just really nice! A wonderful weekend!
