We had a busy day on Saturday. The Easter Egg hunts around here are quite sad. There are so many children here that each kid gets to go grab one egg if they are lucky and go home....so we skipped that. Instead we went to our local grocery store where the kids got to see the Easter bunny and go through the bunny lane.
Ari was soooo excited to see the Easter bunny. Here they are waiting in line to meet him.
Jay...such a ham!
and then through bunny lane where each of the departments: floral, bakery, dairy, etc. give them a little something like a string cheese, cookie, light up ring, candy. It's super cute and they even made out with mini root beers which they went crazy over of course!
Then we went home and decorated eggs
Kevin said to me Sunday night, "our family would be so dull without Hailey, wouldn't it?" So true. She brings the fun out in all of us!
We spent all day Saturday doing yard work and ended up raking massive big piles of dead grass and leafs all over the yard. I told the kids if they would pitch in and clean up the piles with us then I would let them do an easter hunt in the yard when we finished. They put their gloves on and went to work. :)
Hailey amazes me. She is great with her younger siblings and loves to help out around the house....who knew she was a work horse outside too. She was like the energizer bunny dragging her garbage around. Then I would find Scott off wandering around or kicking some rocks around or looking up at the sky. Lol
We finished right before the sun went down, just in time for an egg hunt :)
Just a cute one of Hailey with the bunny ears and baby chick basket she made from preschool.
Oh in case you are wondering about the scab on Ari's eye....she fell off the patio furniture a few days prior onto the deck and did a face plant. It was very very sad!
