Enjoying our little playground at our apartment....
We've been here almost 2 weeks and have been swimming in the apartment swimming pool, playing at parks, house hunting, having picnics and hiking around in the mountains. Grandma Melody also came up for a few days this week and we got to go to the city pool and walk around at the art festival.
We have already gone up to the mountains a few times and I told Kevin I wanted to go on a hike at least once a week (not sure if I'm wanting to take that back yet... LOL)
Last Saturday the hike Dad picked was up to the wind caves- 1.8 miles up and 1.8 back. Our kids love to hike. I told Kevin to remember their smiling faces because before long they will be teenagers and mad at us for dragging them along!
Kevin said it was a moderate hike...it was a pretty big climb, but no big rocks or anything like that. Scott and Hailey did awesome!
We stopped for a picnic lunch up in the trees on the right. We were giggling because people coming down the trail couldn't see us and we were spys :) Hailey does the best coyote howl and I told her to do it when this one girl walked by. "Arrrooooh!" Oh you should have seen the girls face it was so funny! She whipped around looking for an animal and spotted us in the tree and laughed. Hailey was rolling for quite a while on that one!
Ari rode most the way on Daddy's shoulders, but she did get a little exercise :)

Scott and Hailey were troopers.
Especially Hailey hiking almost 4 miles on her tiny little legs. She was tired but all the way down she kept singing little cute songs to keep her spirits up :)
