My parents watched the kids for us so we could go to Kansas City for the weekend for some fun
The main reason for the trip were the Kenny Chesney tickets Kevin got me for Christmas
The concert started at 4:30 with Uncle Cracker, then Billy Currington and the Zac Brown Band
The stadium was completely filled up by 8:20 when Kenny Chesney came out
Best concert and best date ever!
I don't think we got out of there until about 11 pm- it was so awesome! He ended the concert by bringing Zac Brown back out first to sing him Happy Birthday with a birthday cake, and then the two of them ended the concert singing together Bob Marley and Tom Petty songs- so fun!
I fell totally in love with Kansas City, especially this historic district that we spend one morning at- built back in the 1920's and full of gorgeous architecture and fun shopping
We also got to make a trip to Liberty Missouri where we got to see the Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith and Hyrum Smith and others were held in 1838
The spirit was absolutely amazing and so strong, especially when they played clips and told the stories- This is the front of the jail

I think the neatest story they told and something I had never heard, was that while they were there Hyrum Smith's wife gave birth to a son (who was named Joseph Fielding Smith). His wife Mary rode all the way to the jail with her infant boy in the winter so that Hyrum could give him a name and a blessing
