Scott is 5!
Scott is just a big sweetheart. He's actually pretty shy around people he doesn't know or situations that aren't familiar to him. He'll usually sit back in the distance and check everything out before he joins the crowd. Once he's there though he's a natural leader.
At his preschool Scott wanted to build a chicken coop (they were reading about chickens) and his teachers gladly went along with it giving him all the materials he would need. He got a group together and they started making a chicken coop. His teachers went on and on telling me about it. I guess the kids wanted to start with a small tube, and Scott explained to them that it wasn't going to work because it wouldn't support the big box on top. He would say, "Well if you want to do that then go ahead, but I don't think it will work." So he would let them see it didn't work and then he'd show them how to do it. The teachers told me that it was a "Wow" moment for them at how well this little boy was able to communicate and problem solve...and that he is a great builder
It's no suprise to anyone that Scott loves to build things and invent things. He's always stealing any toilet paper rolls, tape, sticks, rubberbands and everything else so he can make things. Antime he's off building stuff he calls it work. He would always choose to "work" rather than "play"
Scott has a sensitive little spirit and he loves to help out and make sure people are happy. He loves his sisters and I always catch him talking to Arianna in his sweet soft voice, before he runs off to do something more boyish.
I think he might have written this on my blog before...but Scott says when he goes to kindergarden Hailey can have his John Deere because he's going to drive the Scout. Sorry bud- you just turned 5, not 16! :)
