4th of July Parade and festivities
Mia passed up huge balloon floats in Vegas to watch tractors and firetrucks and loved every minute. My kids were complaining about the "rural smell" and Mia said "I love this smell! I don't ever get to smell farm" :)
So fun to have this cutie with us for the week of the 4th!

We always tie-dye red white and blue shirts every year. Time to break the tradition....mom needed a break :)
After the parade we did some water play in the yard, sparklers, little fireworks, and made some fun snacks along with a barbecue and watermelon of course!
The kids love making up new games with waterballoons
One that quickly became the favorite was duck duck goose. And on goose, you guessed it- you get the water balloon broken over your head :)
They played that game alone for an hour :)
Festive drinks and treats yum!
Then later that night it was time for the firework show! They don't start until 10 here so we set up a movie with popcorn while we waited
The rest of the week with my niece Mia consisted of lots and lots of braiding hair, splash pads and swimming pools, making sock puppets and doing crafts, playing in the creeks and of course- lots of Maverick slushies :)
Always a fun time!! We are happy to have it be a tradition :)
